You might as well come to the realization that Trump and MAGA have no one to blame but themselves. Trump, like him or not, is a self absorbed narcissistic bully, and most voters, myself included , are sick of it. It's got nothing to do with RINO's, or Judges, or Independents, but it has everything to do with Punkish behavior from sycophants who made the rise of loser Democrats seem almost inevitable. Hopefully Rubio has the common sense to keep his head down, avoid the Trump noise and help resurrect the Republican Party.

Rubio will have to separate himself from Trump soon. That is just reality.

dude shut the frick up. Were you in a coma two years ago?

No but you're obviously in a coma now.

The Boomers are dying out. That was the Republican's safest voting block. Heck I've lost 3 members of my family since 2024 (dad, uncle, brother-in-law's dad), all boomers. All of them voted Republican. I'm sure many others have had similar happen to them. A lot can change in 2 years.

Well, they won’t have Paxton to kick around anymore. He gone…

Congrats on making history, Texas.

It was only a matter of time until the Republican Party collapsed in on itself like a neutron star. Appears that timeline has accelerated

I’ve long had a theory that the modern GOP platform, at least in its current form, will largely disappear within the next 20 to 30 years through simple demographic change. A political strategy that depends on preserving a White majority while blaming many of the nation’s problems on minorities becomes harder to sustain in a society where interracial marriage and multiracial families are increasingly common.

Look no further than the current administration. Many of its own leaders have mixed-race children and grandchildren.

Thirty years from now, it will be much harder to convince Americans that "those people" are the problem when a growing share of the population has a family tree that crosses racial and ethnic lines. When nearly everyone has a relative, spouse, child, or grandchild from a different background, appeals rooted in racial division lose much of their political utility.

Conservatism in any form has failed to conserve any of what made America great in the first place. The next generation of right wing leadership needs to understand two things -

1) you ignore race and identity politics at your own peril. Black people, Hispanics, and Jews have shown they will vote for Democrats overwhelmingly time and time again. Meanwhile, the core constituency of the GOP, white men, were treated to Vivek talking about the mediocrity of American workers and an offensive ad from Sarah Sanders depicting young white men as lazy losers in their parents basements. Among other examples of failure to connect at an identity level.

2) the right today is wasting precious time trying to reform institutions or slow down the march of progressivism. They need to be dismantling these institutions that were captured long ago. Much of the 20th century “progress” needs to be repealed or abolished entirely. Paraphrasing Rothbard, it’s too late to turn back the clock of social democracy. We have to break the clock.

When the national media actively favors Democrats and consistently presents a partisan biased narrative, you really can’t win. Any positive outcome that can be attributed to Republicans is buried while a democrat’s fart is presented as perfume.
Close to 70% of Americans acknowledge a media bias towards democrats. This is a hard thing to overcome.

I live in a neighborhood that is 6% registered democrats, yet during the 2024 elections, the only signs you saw were Harris/Walz. Why? Because the narrative against Republicans would bring rage and destruction to your property if you dared put out a Trump sign.

Good luck building a coalition of the stupid. Extreme politics isn’t losing proposition and doomed to fail. You’re literally dragging people left or right who are going to be fighting you the whole way.
