This presupposes an ability to read, and I am unsure that this supposition is valid in the case of MTG.

The Bill will change many times before it is voted on.

Arguing about the contents of the Bill as it stands today is meaningless.

Some may, but I don't think it will be of any considerable number and their attempts will fail immediately based on the language of this bill. This bill will actually make it harder for those types to pursue action against churches than right now.

The cake shop case was based on a state law regarding private businesses. This bill has nothing to do with that. It simply expands the full faith and credit clause to include marriages so that if a gay couple gets married in California, it has to be recognized in Louisiana.

Practically speaking, it would create a lot of issues if a gay couple was married in one state then moved to a state that didn't recognize it.

Hank still doesn't "except" (lol) the fact that MTG is an important person and he is nothing but a keyboard "worryer"....

You are a jealous little man who fears smart, strong women.

that lady from Full House recently said she wanted to do christmas movies that feature more christianity...not my cup of tea--christianity or christmas movies...but the backlash from prominent twitter users with lots of followers and influence was enormous.

she had an opinion, and the left didn't like it, so now they want her destroyed. and you agree with that. you think she's being a baby and trying to be a victim, but if you go against the groupthink, they want you dead or as good as dead (cancelled).

she didn't try to stop the "gay-lead" christmas movie. she just left the network and went on to do something else, and they're having a fricking hissy fit. she can't make a personal decision for yourself that hurts no one without violent strangers trying to persecute her for it.

i'm sure you'd like to pretend christian hate won't escalate further. that's something the left never does, escalate things.

Now do firearms, a right explicitly written into the Constitution.

Making shite up about what is in the bill at any point is pretty fricking meaningless too don't you think?

Justifying your reason for voting one way or the other by lying is absurd and makes you look like a fraud to anyone who chooses to look into your claims. Is this MTGs version of "starting a conversation?"

In fairness to the "people", I don't think most of our legislators read them either.

People don't need fairness in this instance. They choose not to read into anything unless they happen to need a sourced rebuttal in defense of something they already agree with. Mickey is in here throwing out direct sections of this bill. You didn't see him doing that for the inflation bill. And we know why that is.

Which may or may not end up in the final version.

At this point, the Bill is garbage waiting for flies.

In the bakery case, there was a state-level "public accommodation" law, and (yes) activists doubtless went out into the community looking for businesses that were violating that law. (I oppose "public accommodation" laws, so don't ask me to defend it). Basically, they were doing the equivalent of what was done by 1960s volunteers to identify businesses that were violating the Civil Rights Act.

In this case, NOTHING in the law prohibits a church from declining to marry a same-sex couple. What would be the PURPOSE of sending activists to every church, seeking to identify those that are NOT engaging in any prohibited activity?

Would you support the same thing for firearms? For example, when I travel from Montana to Florida and back, I have to be careful where I stop. My property that I purchased and possess legally in both states might make me a felon in another state.

Don't you think that's bullshite?

And, in response, folks are speculating about a bunch of nonsense that they are CONVINCED will be added to it later, with no basis whatsoever for that belief.

Other than the History of the bad actors involved, no, no basis whatsoever.

Another point in favor of a fairtax model. Tax point of sale. Income taxation is tyrannical theft.

The Word already told us they would come for us. They hate us just like they hate Christ.
