Goodell is in over his head. He played too many games without his helmet on. Time for the owners to dump Goodell and get a competent commish.
This is just the most recent screw up by Goodell, there are many others.
The traditional nfl viewer is fine tuning what they watch vs the old days when anything nfl was watched by many.
I watch when it is a good QB that I know to some extent, if he has the ability to come back in the 4th qtr. usually I wait till over then watch the 4th if it sounds enticing.
I never sit for a whole nfl game. Not many do these days….

What a bizarre conclusion. It should be beyond obvious by now that people don’t want politics injected into entertainment. But the left literally cannot resist proselytizing the woke gospel - even as America continues to reach for the remote.

The reason they had this guy was because of JayZ. I’d never heard of this guy, and still can’t tell you what he sounds like. I have never done a real boycott of the NFL, but have noticed that I watch less and less the last 5 years or so. The same thing happened to me with the nba about 20 years ago. It’s just not a good product anymore.

It’s completely illogical. Why would you have to alienate any demographics by pushing unpopular politics? Are young Hispanics really not going to watch the NFL unless they push dripping left wing political agendas? That’s absurd.

Goodell knows whites are being replaced. Goodell knows what is being asked of his organization. The NFL is the "bread and circus" for the masses of latin America that will replace whites and he is simply marketing towards his future audience. Mass forced migration is not organic and Goodell is simply getting ahead of the curve.

They're correct, and that's exactly what happened yesterday. I've taken it as a badge of honor, the downvotes that I collect when I point out that all the "based conservatives" of the board will still continue to watch and support an NFL that openly hates them.
People put something as meaningless as sports above their traditional values and beliefs that they claim to so staunchly revere and hold. Jesus himself could come down and ask people to no longer watch this crap, and their response would be, "well, you see Lord, here's why we will still watch....."

Like I tell my dad, just because you don’t know them doesn’t mean they aren’t big and popular. I don’t listen to him but I can’t argue with how he’s the most streamed artist in the world for 4 of the last 6 years. 19 billion streams just in 2025.

You raise a good question. I don't know. I've got a relative who is married to a Puerto Rican. This is obviously anecdotal. Some of them in the 20 year old/30 year old generation couldn't wait to see the halftime show.
I'm just playing devil's advocate here and saying I don't think enough whites are turning it off to matter. I think the money is still enough.
