Second, I’ve never seen this movie before but I wish I hadn’t. It’s feminist communist propaganda.

ABC played it the week Dolly died. I’d never seen it, either, so I decided to finally watch it. I made it about a third of the way through before I quit it. Terrible.

I prefer to remember Dolly from her true classic movie “Smokey Mountain Christmas”. Mountain Dan was the best.

It was 'comedy'. Of course, this was after One Day at a Time had come out, and during the time when there was a full court press on passing the E.R.A.

I watched it on HBO when it came out, I was a kid. The only good thing about the movie was the fatass ugly drunk coworker they had, and that wasn’t even entertaining really

Were there two different films called "9 to 5"? I remember seeing 9 to 5 with Dolly Parton, out at the picture show in Alief and thoroughly enjoyed it. I didn't know anyone who didn't agree it was great cinema until seeing these comments on the poliboard.

Dolly's performance was fairly universally praised and the song was an international juggernaut. The film itself got mixed reviews at the time.
