“The Male Gaze”

In all the criticisms of the Sydney Sweeney ad, I keep seeing this feminist buzzword being bandied about in a clearly derogatory manner.
A couple of thoughts:
1. It’s blatantly obvious that the overwhelming bulk of the criticism is coming from women who clearly crave “the male gaze” but couldn’t attract it on their best day. It’s pretty much just in the female nature to tear down more attractive women who do draw “the male gaze” and relish in it. The short term for it is, of course, “sour grapes”.
2. “The male gaze” is the most natural thing in the world. It is a key component of propagating the species. All of these feminists bitching owe their very existence to the “male gaze”. Their mothers didn’t win them on a game show…they all have fathers.
Of course, I’m venting about people who, in general, embrace the UNnatural. It just all flies in the face of ordinary common sense.

It’s a meaningless buzzword.
Sabrina Carpenter has said she dresses/performs for the “female gaze”.
She still dresses like a slut. Apparently both men and women like hot blonde chicks.

You nailed it. This is just common sense. When God created the female, it's obvious that he created HER in such a way that would attract the attention of men.
And 8 billion people later, I think it can be said that God put every hump, lump, and bump in exactly the right place.

Women gaze. Immediately and quickly, so technically not a gaze but omg is it superficial and powerful. I’m talking about how they quickly judge other women based on appearance.

Girls I knew learned it from their professors
This wasn't the Ivy League folks. This was at LSU aka Coonass State University, where kids were supposed to be safe from indoctrination, at least in those days.

I was in Home Depot today and I saw a couple of women who were getting "the male gaze" and the obligatory 2nd rubber neck.

Which one is true about women?
1) They don't need no man, and they don't like it when men look at them?

We as a society shouldn't over sexualize women. I have to admit the ads with Sweeney are hard not to watch.
