Another difference, I credit to someone I can’t remember at the moment. The left sees violence as a dial, whereas the right sees it as a switch.
For good or bad, the right has not gotten to the point where the switch is flipped. In contrast the left have been dialing violence up more and more the past 10 to 15 years.

So they affirm themselves that they are okay by getting more people to act like misfits, instead of trying to act normal.
