I disagree. Jewish voters in the US are overwhelmingly democrat voters and historically more left leaning liberals than the general population.

You’d be surprised how many Jewish people are getting arrested for being “antisemites” at these protests against Israel in the US and Europe.

The right-wing Zionist rump is vocal and wealthy. They have an outsized effect on how things are projected as Jewish consensus in the media. They use antisemitism and the generational trauma many US Jews have about the holocaust as a cudgel to quiet dissent within their ranks.

Edit: I wouldn’t be surprised if amongst middle class and lower Jews in NYC that they overwhelmingly vote for the DSA mayoral candidate. That says something since NYC has the most Jewish people of any city in the US.

But it's in large part the fault of Israel. I don't know how you can look at pictures from Gaza and not think it's fricked up. All those children are human with souls, killing them is a sin against God, and so is supporting it. I don't see a single commandment that says - unless they do this and that. Defense is really the only justification and the response obviously goes well beyond defense.

People don't realize it, but Israel has it's own political struggles and extremists. The extremists in Israel are in charge and I hope they get them out soon. Looks like it's going to be a while though as Bibi just barely escaped another election, which he would be expected to lose.

And then you got the fact when people try to talk about these things, or the other places Israel is bombing, the only thing anyone can say is they are antisemitic. But when the person really isn't, you just end up turning them against Israel because it's like - well, they have no legitimate response.

On top of this you have people stuck in collectivism due to the brainwash/propaganda of the MSM. So then you get people seeing "Jews" instead of individuals, missing that many Jewish people don't support this.

I'm glad it seems Trump has avoided more war and support of Israel for now. If not, ultimately it will be the thing that unites the democrats IMO. Many people on the right, myself included, are not down with it. I'm all about Israel having a right to defend itself, but not like this.

Here’s a thread about some of the sentiment I’m talking about. “Do you feel that Israel is an important part of your Jewish identity” is a coin flip amongst NYC Jewish population.

One of the things that the Democrats are the left had done successfully since the 60s was to build a coalition of environmentalists, feminists. the black & brown the gay ... Then the kind of more radical climate change the more radical feminists the black separatist La Raza the trans the black trans the brown trans .. it worked .. for them getting elected

There is kind of a broader view of the liberal or progressive conundrum and that is as the left has played identity politics going from black to Brown to women to gays. Is they've got so many Individualistic gaze that have to be a gay brown trans climate change that by trying to appeal to everything they're beginning to appeal to nothing

So what began with Hillary stealing the election from Bernie and then Trump won the dems handing it to Biden because there was no one else, and then Harris because there was no one else

I just want to live my life to the end of the day and get home to my kids and feed them people the economy stupid /pocketbook voters which happen to include women and black and Brown and gay people,, who are just normal everyday Americans

Well if the Republicans stick and to that and let the Democrats be who the inevitably have to be to win primaries things will change

but it's not actually that they hate America, it's just that they believe by complaining a lot they'll get money out of it, whether it be from the government or politically to gain a position of influence

They do hate American history because if you know the history of this country, that in and of itself proves them wrong

They like to RE-tell a very biased agenda agenda-driven American history
