It’s going to be Lagoa. Democrats shitting all over a Cuban American will give Florida to Trump easily.

Lagoa makes me nervous. I don’t see a long track record on her voting and she was involved in the Elián Gonzales case.
I hope he doesn’t choose her solely to try to solidify Florida in his corner and get minority votes because I don’t think he needs to do that.

No nominee will get as many as 50 votes. DOA.

Rushing is a great age, 38. How conservative is she really?

Always love the psychological preparations people do because they are so weak.

Way I understand it, a simple majority would allow 6 repubs to not vote. Provided they don't vote "no", and just don't vote at all, Pence would break a 47-47 tie.

She was on his family’s side here.

Lagoa is 52 though correct? Not to say she isn't experienced, but if all three have equal experience and one can sit longer than the others that's who I'd go with.

IIRC Amy was harshly criticized by dems because she is Catholic and has 7 children
Amy Coney Barrett: Mother of 7, Metairie native, solid conservative ... next Supreme Court justice?

Yup- just thinking that this election has gone from coronavirus to Roe v. Wade.

I would be happy with any of them.

Two were adopted from Haiti and another is a special needs child.

Remember with Garland Obama was a lameduck on his way out. Trump has 4 more years.

This. Easy choice politically. Would help balance the bad optics of pushing the pick through.

They are all relatively attractive. It gets joked about a lot, but it’s a reality that their is large attractiveness gap between liberals and conservatives.
Compare a pic of ANY of the women on the court to any of those three. That's not just a gap, that's the gap between earth and moon.

Putting a Cuban Hispanic woman on the SC would be a strong move toward winning Florida and gaining Hispanic voters
