Doesn't this artificial requirement that it be a woman
actually go against constitutional principles?

Wow, pretty women. Not only instantly making the court more conservative, but instantly nicer to look at.
Contrast these ladies to RBG, and the two whats their faces that Obama put on.

No. the days of men ruling in all the top spots are over. I think it should be a woman, as sure as Sandra Day O'Connor. Because they are smart and qualified.
Just like the subtle racism I have seen on here... I have seen a few that don't think a woman should be SCOTUS because of their 'emotions.' I argued with one last night...
Women make good leaders. It isn't always a man needed to be a SCOTUS.

everyone automatically rates these woman (I even did )
why is it that men Justice nominees don't ever get rated on a scale of who a woman would frick first?

Hell, women probably do the same thing. They just aren't as out in the open with it.

This is correct.

I seriously can't help but think of how well this pool of potential nominees will settle with suburban women.
All very successful, very stoic and powerful women and mothers. It's not all about how well these judges will be perceived by suburban women, but moreso how suburban women will react to the outright attacks on these potential nominees by the left.
You know damn well the libs will overplay their hand again in smearing these very successful and worthy ladies, and I can't help but think it will turn off the suburban female constituency.

I like Barbara Lagoa...but any of the three would be good. Certainly far superior than RBG towards the end of her career.

Supreme Court nominations must have something other than political weight. Remember, this person will be therefor life! Wanna see the results of a bad nominee? See John Roberts

Lagoa.
Florida/Cuban connection
Recently confirmed to 11th Circuit with 80 votes (i.e., has already been vetted and got broad support - makes it an easier argument to fast track her)

Lagoa is my top pick. Barrett is a close second.

I'm feeling like we could see Bridget Bade from the 9th circuit.

imagine the melts if Cruz is the nominee next year.
also back to the ones not jazzzed about a woman (a small minority thank God) it is hard to pin rape on a woman.
it is hard to find dirt on a good woman with 7 kids
