Democrats rally around Democrats, however, some Republicans in this state would rather be mad about the Ten Commandments being in schools or the Governor wanting student athletes to stand for the National Anthem.

The conservatives are mad because the ten commandments thing is a virtue signal that is 100% going to be stricken down in court but it appeases the plebes temporarily, while distracting from the big story that Landry is buttering up the trial lawyers for immense paydays.

I'm not even in LA and I can see that. Corruption is corruption no matter what "side" it's on.

Not being from LA, I don't know Landry's policies; however, you are spot on. If this board is representative of the Republican Party, the fact that they are only wanting to support the perfect GOP candidate (i.e., Donald Trump) and don't really care about winning the necessary offices beyond means this country is a lost cause.

I thought LA's term limits were only for consecutive terms? Or did we do away with that post-EWE?

First of all- Landry won: he’s a Republican.

That said, the party is corrupt. They rigged it for Landry by giving him the endorsement way too early.

Landry is against 2 big issues that all conservatives want-

Tort reform
Freedom of information

It’s not about republicans winning. It’s about conservatives winning and Landry is not a true conservative.

And I’m still going with the people that gave us edwards also gave us Landry.

Democrat politicians almost unilaterally act lock stock step. There arent any Democrats that are DINOs and support small government on occasion.

This is from the Louisiana Constitution:
quote:

(B) Limitation on Governor. A person who has served as governor for more than one and one-half terms in two consecutive terms shall not be elected governor for the succeeding term.

Wrong. “Conservatives” losing common sense to be as by the book conservative as possible is why conservatives can’t win.

Common sense people. That’s what this country needs. And it lines up with 80% of what “conservatives” like. Just drop the stupid extreme shite and democrats would never win.

That means they can't serve more than two terms in a row.

If you are for the constitution, that must remain steadfast and not just be proclaimed when convenient. The first mustn’t be trampled.

Would love JL to fix the damn state’s real problems. I agree public school overhauls are needed, but this? Really? This is what he thinks is important? My lord

They didnt vote for Landry in the primary, and theyre being juveniles

They are exactly like the Desantis fanboys. Every single post has to be about reassuring themselves that we were wrong for supporting Trump, and/or Landry

And most of them voted for JBE at least once

Ya know what. It wasnt much of a thing in 2008 either. Then Obama got elected. Btw, JBE's first executive order, right out of the gate:
