I also believe this thing is oddly... not a scam, doesn't mean it won't end up being a scam, but if it really is the guy on the link doing this fund, then he truly believes it's going to happen.

Would you rather people who want a wall force everyone, including those who dont want one, to pay for it?

Seems to me this is how it should be. People want the wall can pay for it. It doesn't hurt anyone. Forcing people you disagree with to do what you want is what causes the divide in this country.

We should promote these movements on both sides to eliminate the need for government funding to begin with.

Every time somebody comes on here and says something like this, it makes me want to go and donate more. Are you scared that there might be enough people who could actually fund this? Why would you be against people self funding the wall? Saves the people money who don't want one right? Maybe my $20 is worth it. This might be the only way.
