a wall that will accomplish nothing, btw

is complete bullshite.

Well, the fence had no appreciable impact on illegal border crossings and drung trafficking, so I don't really see a wall doing much either.

Now, a wall equipped with multiple layers of surveillance, and an expanded force of armed personnel with clear instruction and authority on how to defend our borders would be awesome....we wouldn't actually need the wall part of that equation, though!.

People who willingly give more money to one of the most wasteful governments in the world are just dumb.

As are people who think a physical barrier will address immigration in a meaningful way.

Please do. If you really believe that money is going towards building a wall, you deserve to lose your money. By all means, keep giving. Is there anything else I can say to encourage you?

Are you scared that there might be enough people who could actually fund this?

It's actually kind of scary that you are incapable of basic math.

Take any estimate for the cost of a border wall...to keep it simple divide that number by the number of Trump voters and report back.

Then ask yourself would this campaign get nearly that many donations.

Then ask yourself how far your "$20" will go.

Then apologize.

"Enough people to actually fund this"...

Because people shouldn’t be so unintelligent so as to believe that this GoFundMe is a viable option or that it’s some sort of “statement” on behalf of the American people. It just isn’t. No one in Washington cares about 150,000 people wasting money on the internet.

They aren’t going to sniff their goal, and won’t come anywhere close to having all of Trump voters contribute, much less a majority of the population, or even any appreciable percentage of the population.

Looks like the average donation is about 61 dollars

I could see them getting into the 25 million dollar range

One baller made a 50K donation

And again, that is nothing. Even a million people giving $25 average is nothing, population wise either.

So what is the point of this?

But why would that be persuasive?

I think it ultimately depends on where it comes from. For example, a group of 50ish people from one politicians voter base is enough to affect that politicians policies. See Brigitte Gabriel

At the current rate, it'll take around 50 years to get to $5 billion.
