The Free Market Is Set to Make Iran's Biggest Weapon Obsolete

The world is not waiting to find out who controls Hormuz. It is building around it.
Goldman Sachs tracked 7 pipeline and export projects now under construction or planned across the Gulf.

Is that a relatable phrase in your realm?

Just how safe are pipelines from drones?
And if the pipes go to the Red Sea or Oman, both are drone range from Yemen.
It’s time to end that bullshite regime. You know it when you have local prog Marxists pulling for Iran.

Control over the Strait of Hormuz is not a "Weapon."

Months back I predicted pipelines would get built and for some reason I got downvoted.

It’s a political and economic weapon. Not all weapons are guns

The map in the link is showing these pipelines nowhere in Iran sovereign territory.
I would hope it makes a difference in Iran brazenly attacking economic infrastructure of its neighbors compared to attacking ships moving through its territorial waters.

We are about to drink their saffron milkshake?

Honestly with how many times Iran has threatened to close the strait in the past it’s shocking to me that other gulf nations haven’t already tried to build infrastructure around it

It all still vulnerable infrastructure to strikes from Iran and Yemen. Same with ships that transit the Bab-el-Mandeb strait if the Houthis decide to try to close it off. The article also doesnt mention the extra cost of alternative route either.

You blow up enough pipelines and eventually people will get together and decide you no longer should exist on this planet and take necessary actions to make it happen

Wow, thanks. I wasn't aware until now that all manner of goods flowed thru pipelines. Cool!

Very safe. Missiles could have an impact, but the best they can do with drones is hit the pipeline facilities, and that can be quickly repaired

This was my first thought. Then I think about Trump and his alternatives and such. Art of a Deal. This just gives him leverage. Whether it works or not doesn’t matter. It’s movement that Iran has to acknowledge.
