This is not the behavior I would have expected from a well-known bigot and homophobe.

This is the reason we are going to put them in camps. They need special care.

I expect all the gays who are "literally shaking" and "scared of the future" to come out and support Trump now.

Not.

CNN is covering this second by second wait they haven't been notified of this yet. LOL

You knew Trump was going to do this but this does hurt the Dems bad because they put all their propaganda into this message.

Glad Trump didn't go with Pence's position on gsys. Good move by Trump. Lgbtq community should be protected in the workplace for sure.

100%.

If we're going to have protections for every little thing under the sun besides straight white males, gays should be covered under that as well.

Not really an excuse. How exactly can the Democrats stop Trump at anything right now?

Thankfully, we finally have a GOP President in office who doesn't give a shite about legislating archaic religious morality.
Regardless of what many people think, government does legislate morality. Laws, in and of themselves, represent a moral standard that the government holds to. They tell us what is right and wrong or rather what is acceptable and unacceptable behavior. A moral code has to come from somewhere and a Christian morality is just as relevant today as it was 2,000 years ago. What has changed is people's rejection of it in this country where they once embraced it, but the code hasn't changed and people haven't changed; just their influences.

And you don't have to support the behavior to believe they should be protected from oppression and violence.
Oppression and violence? The EO signed by Obama did not have an exemption for religious organizations that may win contracting bids with the government. Essentially what it says is that the government supports gays and people confused about what's between their legs more than those who have a moral objection to those people's choices.

You don't need to make them a special protected class to serve justice against those who commit violence against them.

No shite and great point. You can say a lot of things about Trump, but he never tried to use them as a pawn like Obama did.
