But there was another artistin the museum, (starts w/ a "V", ?Vanderveer, Venmier?), whom I'd never heard of .... he was just brilliant. Picture after picture. Maybe because Rembrandt came first, the guy was under appreciated, but, you're right, given an artist-blinded choice, I might very well select that guy instead of a Rembrandt.
Vermeer.
Stunning, almost photographic clarity.
This pic doesn’t do it justice.

Been flying out of ATL for 30 years now and I have never once experienced anything you just mentioned.
It just have just been the 300 or so flights I've taken in and out of there. That's with CLEAR and PreCheck, etc. Maybe it was just Sunday afternoons and Thursday evenings, I'm sure your Monday morning flights out were great. ATL is shite, as is the city.

You have been to the Joburg airport so you know: There isn’t a single picture of an Afrikaner in that building.

Great point, although I don’t remember much on the way in, given my itinerary. I just remember customs/immigration being very… Africa like.
It’s a bit strange, the displays at ATL. Most airports I’ve been through have cultural events during significant times, but “art” installations don’t seem to last long beyond bland non culturally obvious stuff. ATL seems to have the same crap that was installed decades ago.

Right now they have a display celebrating Zimbabwe.
Every time I have ever traveled though Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International (which used to be quite frequently), I thought I was IN Zimbabwe. Same as driving through Atlanta, third world.

i have flown into hartsfield since 2001 for the SECCG, some conferences, and some connecting flights going elsewhere. Never had any issues.
as far as the art.....i do not recall. guess i did not pay much attention as my mind was on catching another flight or getting to my hotel.

Flew into ATL and then out on Friday night, just lifted off from ATL about 20 minutes ago heading back to BTR.
Did not notice anything propaganda-y at the airport in at least terminals A, C nor D.
