Who is giving Texas to Mexico?
What do you think prevents that...a discussion and decision on the merit of the idea?
Either the UK is able to defend its Falkland territory, or it isn't. If it wants the US to defend it for them, presumably it would need to earn that position.

They had a referendum with the Islanders about a decade ago and they voted 98% is stay with Britain.

Except both Mexico and the U.S. are connected to Texas. England isnt remotely close to those islands.

I lived in Buenos Aires for 6 years and can say with certainty that the people of the Falklands consider themselves to be British and for DAMN sure don't want Argentina to take over the Falkland Islands.
The rallying cry in Argentina is Las Malvinas son Argentinas. (The Falkland Islands belong to Argentina)

If Argentina gets the falklands it’s only a matter of time before Mexico tries to get back Texas.
