The British went to war against Argentina to claim the falklands.

The Americans went to war against Mexico to claim Texas.

I hope this helps.

So you only have the right to land that is connected to yours? So should we give up Hawaii and Alaska?

Nope

quote:

Argentina existed as a country for about 20 years. Then the British took over the Falklands.

You can find different sources saying different things about who lived there at the time so I won’t get into it.

The Falklands have been British as long as Texas has been Mexico. Giving The Falklands to Argentina would be like giving Texas to Mexico.

Spain and England have had disputed claims for a long time.

However, The British had a permanent, sovereign settlement as far back as the early 19th Century.. Argentina acted as more of a colonial power than the Brits toward the Falklands, depriving residents of self-rule. The islanders have voted more than once to remain a British territory...

It means we went into a war and lost thousands of lives with a country that was supposedly going to take over the world. But that country didn’t even have a navy.

No but the U.S. didnt travel across the world to take an island that sat off the coast of another country. I personally would love if Mexico tried to take Texas back and would enjoy seeing them get their teeth kicked in. I don't give a frick about those islands but I damn sure wouldn't support those pussy arse British in any way if they started getting fricked up.

Well Texas borders both USA and Mexico and is protected buy the United States army. The falklands are half the globe away from England and right off the coast of argentina. Honestly not sure if the current British military could hold the island in a war.

The British discovered the island long before Argentina was even an idea

If the Falklanders want to be part of England they should take on a couple of hundred thousand Muslims, Indians, and Africans.

Mexico is welcome to try and take back Texas any time they want.

Good luck.

It seems dumb now, but in the future when America isn’t the global empire and there is a new one that doesn’t support us it won’t be so funny.

It's not our job to support the ungrateful British. They can handle their own problems.

If they were, they'd already be under sharia law.

Double nickle .... your 55th downvote.

For how long have The Falklands been a border state of the UK?
quote:

Luckily the Mexican Americans in Texas don’t seem to have any big dreams of taking the land back…. But what if?

Luck has nothing to do with it. We'd stomp a mudhole in their asses.

Oh, ummmm, errrrr, wait ... yeah, Mexico and Canada will be lucky if we do not, one day, decide to take them.

BTW, I've been to The Falklands. The UK cannot keep them if the Falklanders decide to run them out again .... it's kinda like the South vs the North. It's only halftime down there. Falklanders hate the Brits.
