found that people who live with handgun owners are shot to death at a higher rate than those who live in gun-free homes.
I hate this crap talking point....
If you live in a home without shelves you are less likely to be injured while retrieving objects that fall from shelves.

I am not much of a hand gun guy relatively speaking. I own 3 or 4 that I rarely shoot and have come to own them for different reasons. I own a half dozen shotguns I suppose between what I shoot and what I bought for my kids over the years. I like to bird hunt.
I did go buy a snake pistol the other day to use at my farm and I went into Baton Rouge to buy it. My impression from the folks in that store that day is that the gun industry can no longer be described as "white-dominated spaces". I saw 4 different groups of democrats in that store and all were looking at Mac9s and AK47s. I saw two make purchases.

This is spoken by someone who has never even dipped a toe into the gun industry.
These are the people who yap about the alleged "gun show loophole" who've never been to a gun show and seen all the black people who attend them.

So I wholeheartedly agree. The gun culture is one of the most diverse, accepting communities.
In the past month I've taken the basic and enhanced CC classes. Between the two it was probably an even split of women/men and black/white and even young/old. There were even two trannies in the basic class.

All gun control is racist.
And sexist.
And, ultimately, elitist.

Many folks are intimidated by these conservative, white-dominated spaces that don’t seem very friendly to them,” he said. “So the gun industry has a long way to go in terms of addressing more diverse segments of our population who are interested but feel forgotten or ignored.
Doesn’t stop black people in liberal cities from getting guns and committing the majority of gun violence.

Firearm Deaths per 10,000 residents
Crime rate heatmap
Defensive Gun Usage map
I couldn't find a good "Gun Ownership" map, but from these three everything seems to be lining up to show that high crime rates equal higher gunshot victimization. Which would indicate a higher need for gun ownership.

I was at Bass Pro Shops this weekend in Leeds, AL.
The guns/ammo area was packed. I think I saw one black guy.
The ammo aisle was anemic.

All Chinese living in America are members of the Chinese military. They are here on deployment! Never forget that.
That is so untrue dude
The CCP tries to keep tabs on their citizens even when they're abroad, to varying effect. Their families back home are essentially hostages of the state, afterall.

What's your point?

I don’t have kids yet but have no idea how men/women who are the protectors of their families don’t have a gun for defense. No way I would bank my hopes on police protection.
Remember, when seconds count, the cops are only minutes away!
I'd rather be judged by 12, than carried by 6.

This. Gun culture is one of the most diverse, accepting communities in America, bar none.
There is a gun shop at the border of South Memphis/South Germantown which is also only a couple of miles from Mississippi. Going in there you will see all different types of people from different backgrounds, urban white people, urban black people, rural white people, rural black people with a smaller number of hispanics also coming in there. I honestly can't think of many other places here like that

Several posters mentioned the diversity. That wasn't what I experienced.

You could most likely say that pretty much anywhere in Leeds, AL because Leeds is probably over 80% white

In one Bass Pro in Alabama?
I hope you're not trying to frame that as representative of anything except that one experience.

What’s untrue about it.
Link me to where every single Chinese citizen living in the US is part of their military. I have Chinese friends I have known for a long time, that is a very funny theory…

I went there for a 9 and ended up with a beautiful 45. I could see that. I'd get more hand guns and stay away from assault rifles probably.
