There was nothing in that article to indicate that, even if they are. Businesses coming out against the tariffs don’t appear to favor one political party or the other.

Both sides do this all the time. The Alliance Defending Freedom pushed the 303 Creative case even though the plaintiff wasn't actively operating its business at the time.

Taxes hurt small businesses too. Why are those legal but not tariffs? How about regulations? Inflation hurts too, so why is the Fed allowed to intentionally lower the value of our money?
Why are these 5 people more important than the millions of Americans who will benefit from the tariffs?
This is a completely stupid case.

I guess I'll be the naysayer
I think it's fine that the administration is pushing tariffs.
I think it's fine that small businesses concerned their businesses will be crushed due to tariffs are trying to sue to stop/impede that.
I definitely don't think businesses have to take what the government hands them on the basis that they're either "with us or against us."

[You need to work with others in Washington to get things done.]
Thats fricking classic thinking working with people in Washington gets things done. your an idiot and things need to fricking change and this is the only way. politicians are fricking worthless grifters they dont do shite to make anything better unless it involves a kickback. and the only thing that gets fricked is taxpayers and the country.[quote]You need to work with others in Washington to get things done.

So the policy of the nation of 330+ million needs to cater to the whims of a single digit number of businesses?

So that's NOT what the Branch Covidians said?
You're making baseless claims anyway, you're not making an argument. It's not a foregone conclusion that 330 million people will be better off for this, it's just something you have to claim in order to justify the action.
With any substantive government action someone will win and someone will lose. I agree with you, it's silly to focus on 5 businesses that will be harmed and nothing else, but it's just as silly to focus on protecting the Louisiana seafood industry, or muh auto plants, etc. You don't care about their industries, they don't care about yours.

Times changes, business fail, entire job markets go away. Adapt or die.
Basic shite happens, you must focus on the majority

Covid freaks said if we don’t agree we’re gonna kill grandma.
They killed grandma & forced her to die alone.
Yours is a terrible comparison.

Yet, not a single US Congress member in sight, despite this supposedly being a breach of Legislative Branch authority.

He has said all along that “there would be some initial pain”. Going America First after so many decades of globalism is going to cause some fallout. Is what it is. I saw similar issues his first term with the little trade war with china. I know a guy that lost his business due to being 100% dependent on export to Asia. He went bankrupt, and it wasn’t his fault. But…it is what it is. America First is too important. Some folks will suffer…but the priority is the country’s future.

Because Turnip II's tariffs support big corp, and hurt small business.
