Gotta be honest. I think he's kissed the DJT ring and is doing his bidding at this point. No way McConnell is doing this himself.

I think he read the tea leaves and believed he might actually be vulnerable in KY.

The Alabama fiasco he caused likely scared the shite out of him.

I just think that some of the establishment republicans have finally realized that they can fight and win. They definitely can't use those old excuses anymore. Real change is happening, and it is incredible.

Dude knows how to keep power. Played the scotus seat perfectly, I think he knew health care was a political loser, won huge on tax reform and then manipulated the shutdown perfectly.

Big McConnell fan right now. He can be trumps wingman any day. Let trump rally the bases issues and McConnell will keep the base happy with legislation to keep power

Seriously?? You might not like McConnell but that dude knows hot to run the senate and he doesn't answer to anybody. He bludgeoned the Dems thought the rules process for a decade. He lead the tightest resistance I have ever seen during the Obama years and now keeps a fractured, razor thin senate majority semi on track.

Mitch has been a political savant the past few years.

He stopped Garland from getting onto the court and gave GOP fence sitters a reason to come home and pull the lever for Trump and in turn has confirmed more federal judges in history than any majority leader.

He nearly repealed ObamaCare with a splintering senate and a President who couldn't stay on message.

He got tax reform done to boost the economy and deliver more money to american paychecks.

He forced Steve Bannon to eat a shite sandwich in the Roy Moore debacle.

And he just forced Chuck Schumer to eat another shite sandwich by caving and getting nothing.

The turtle says Slow and steady bitches.

We may not have liked the end result being a lost seat but Mitch actually made lemonade out of bullshite and took out a toxic player in Steve Bannon who was going to lose conservatives the senate majority.

Steve Bannon's political jihad was complete nonsense and it had to end before he could get his tentacles into more competitive races like Arizona, Nevada and dem seats the GOP has a shot at flipping like Missouri, Indiana and Montana.

Well, I mean yeah.

But the only reason Bannon could get in in the first place was because Mitch decided to go all in on the wrong guy.

If he gets behind Brooks, none of that shite happens.

No shite Mitch made a very bad miscalculation backing Strange and he had no business meddling in that race.

But in the long run we got something out of it and that's Mitch circling around and setting in motion the job of destroying Steve Bannon's destructive influence and President Trump would eventually finish off that job thanks to Steve's stupidity in talking shite about his kids and the russian meeting at Trump Tower.

Even Kelli Ward out in Arizona has backed off from Bannon big time going as so far to just call him another supporter of hers with no involvement in her campaign.

Roy Moore would've been an absolute clown show disaster in DC.

He’s still a cuck. But ever since he stood up to Obama’s last attempted SCOTUS nomination, I think he’s been undergoing therapy for low-T!

Another year of this, and he may even have to shave daily.

Yeah, I'm serious. I'm not talking about his knowledge of procedural rules but his willingness to fight for what's right from an ideological standpoint. Something changed recently and I think DJT got to him.

This. McConnell has served a master for a long time, and it's been the Democratic party to this point. If he's doing anything to rebel against them it's not because he has a spine of his own.
