I’ve answered enough of your questions.

Do YOU really believe that it was handled correctly?

Do YOU really believe that there were not better approaches to be taken to prevent the spread?

Please be specific on how you would’ve handled it.

You still haven’t answered how a shutdown would be effective considering this virus isn’t going away. Delaying effects is not an effective solution other than for politicians to beat their chest for a few weeks.

I think we should’ve figured out a way to get infrastructure in place to keep at risk people at home while letting the rest of the economy open. If that requires masks so be it. Pretending we can all hide from this and continually dump in trillions is retarded.

Prevent deaths
Now it’s onto “cases”

No. We closed down to quickly. You’re now seeing states that didn’t have a chance to have the virus run its normal course have the virus run its normal course.

I would have been fine with an initial week or two shutdown to allow hospitals to prepare with PPE and plans. But then, open it up.

Picking winners and losers in the economy based on “necessity” was dumb. It still is dumb. Liquor stores and pot dispensaries are essential?

Going forward, we go forward. There’s no area that’s seeing hospital capacity that they can’t handle. Houston’s hospitals say they can handle it and they’re the most crowded in the country at the moment. In 60 days, they’ll be done with their surge. That’s the virus.

I would like to see concrete plans and some visions for what society looks like. School superintendents should say up front “if we have X new cases in a week, that’s our threshold to do something different.” Without doing that, everything is going to be run by reaction. And that’s stupid.

Drumpf dropped the ball!!1

I go back and forth on what’ll happen if Biden wins

If you keep the virus in the news someone has to be held accountable, which is why the media dropped the Iraq war body counts in 2009. On the other hand, it provides a great source of government encroachment for power hungry leftists.

You can’t, only delay. We should have protected the elderly and weak when the data came out of Italy. The rest gone about our business, no mask, no social distance...wash your hands and don’t put your fingers in your mouth.

but I think it's silly to think we could have prepared for and understood this virus well with no lockdown or a very short lockdown.

I don't understand how we still have vehicle accidents with all "we know" but, we continue to have them AND, don't shut down the highways in Marfa when there's roll over in Galveston.

On average, 3,700 souls are lost in Texas to vehicle accidents. I'm curious to see if the wuflu will top that.
