A recent evaluation by the Texas Secretary of State's office discovered that about 95,000 people identified by DPS as non-U.S. citizens have a matching voting registration record in Texas and 58,000 of those have voted in one or more state elections over 22 years.

quote:

Upon receipt of this information, the secretary office immediately provided the data to the Texas Attorney General's office, as the secretary has no authority to investigate or prosecute alleged illegal activity in connection with an election.

Voting without eligibility is a second-degree felony in Texas.

Oh, but voter fraud isn’t really a thing, right Libs?

That’s really just the tip of the iceberg. California is even worse.

The liberals and the media won't give a damn about it unless they started voting GOP. Then the bastards would be rioting in the streets demanding a wall.

That's over 2,500 a year!!! Are you kidding me?

From "no voter fraud" to "meh, only thousands a year, no biggie" way to move the goal posts.

They keep moving the goal posts. Some of them are already admitting they want all illegals to have the right to vote.

These arguments always get framed in a presidential election situation, but illegals voting is more of local election problem.

So, yes, that many illegals could have disastrous affects in small towns and communities where 100 votes could swing an election (or a tax, etc.)

Now I would like to know how many of the 58,000 voted for Beto vs Ted Cruz.

This shite is serious.

It's a lot but not really in the grand scheme of things. That's equivalent to 2,700 illegal votes per year x 22 years in the wide swath of Texico.

Still a big deal though, I agree.

Fake news. Not fraud.

It's likely over 58,000 illegal votes. The 58,000 votes would be the minimum based on what this says.

Considering that just this past election in Florida (3rd most populated state right behind Texas) that a US Senate election was decided by 10,000 votes, I'd say 58,000 illegal votes over 22 years is a pretty big deal.

You’re Fake News.

That is only allowed in states without citizenship requirements, Texas not being one of those.

Once again, you are Fake News.

I work with someone who is Irish with a green card. He votes in every single election except for President. Legally.

You're wrong. And I'm right.
