He had them all there and the maps were ready, then he adjourned. This douche punted and gave the Dems an out.

Thankfully there aren’t any REAL issues to attend to. You do realize they can't do any work without a quorum don't you?

but they can supplement those with campaign funds but that drains the campaign dollars

The staff cuts are for actual state-government activities and support. It is illegal to use campaign funds for non-campaign purposes.

They are on day 5 of $500/day fines and I believe that is on a 7 day/ week work schedule. Aft next Sunday, they will be paying Texas to be missing in action.

Your government at work.

Right? Can you believe these lawless Democrats don't want to attend to the business of governing?

They can still pay staff to offset the cost to staff, and the staff does campaign work, or rally back in the District, which if they're not in the office

they're allowed to do

and what they are doing

None of these people actually live on the salary of a state legislator/senator

they all have jobs or incomes or private fortunes that allow them to take five months off every two years from their real job to go to Austin or in this case Chicago

Hope that answers your query

Remind me which side is it that's preventing them from accomplishing even the most basic of things?

You tell us. They were in special session for 2 weeks, yet no flood relief was passed.

Who was running that agenda?

there was no qurom

So nothing can be passed

But the Republicans did discuss in committee four or five different House bills that addressed HB1 ,, and several others around the 20's

not all d's are out of state; some were present at committe meetings

Hope these Red Diaper Doper babies pay a price for their cowardice. My observation is many Republicans in TX are being groomed for DC Uniparty politics in the Imperial City.

Yes. That’s my point. Government (both sides) are useless. They can’t even accomplish the basic things.

This is a one sided issue, so dumb point

There was a quorum for 2 weeks… that’s enough time to cover flood relief.

I don't understand some folks bitching about this. Give Texas props for at least taking a stand and trying to do something about it.

I think in the long run they should have their seat vacated for violating their oath of office. Open the seat for election and possibly bar them from running too.

They're just like one of them a-hole parents that keep on saying you better not do that, you better not do that and never do anything. Make all the threat you want but until you actually do something it don't count for shite
