My wife used to buy alot of sh*t from Temu. I always told her you had the china man working two weeks straight at 1.50/hr to make that. I guess her buying is done now

They'll probably start shipping to Mexico and putting Hecho in Mexico labels on their stuff.

From the same places you got it before Temu, you'll just go back to paying a 300% markup for the same shite made in the same factories. It will have a different name and packaging on it, though.

Or maybe a lot of folks will stop buying articles of clothing as if they are disposable items designed to be worn once or twice.

I know that probably sounds crazy!

We're a nation of consumerism. Good luck with that.

ETA: And clothing is a tiny fraction of it.

So TEMU will go bankrupt. This is a good thing for American leverage.

You are the one suggesting costs of some of these goods will increase 300%.

You don't think that will affect purchasing choices?

^this.

I did the TEMU experiment for a while and while a lot of the kitchen stuff, decorations etc is junk, the clothes are the same as if you would go to a name brand store for 5 times the price.
