You sure about that.......

Yes

President Donald Trump has said Venezuelans are “dancing in the streets” because of the money entering the oil-rich country since this year’s ousting of Nicolás Maduro. Many Venezuelans are not so sure.

Polls show that the US president’s star, which soared after the January military operation to capture Maduro, has started to wane among Venezuelans frustrated with the slow pace of change.

A survey by Meganálisis last month found that Trump’s approval rating had dropped from 75 points in March to 47 points in April, while an Atlas Intel and Bloomberg poll found it fell from 53 per cent in February to 45 per cent in May.

That's just the huge fall into May 2026. It kept falling

Eight in 10 Venezuelans oppose the sweeping oil agreement signed last month between the United States and Venezuela, while more than nine in 10 disapprove of President Donald Trump’s meeting with interim President Delcy Rodríguez in New York this week, according to a new poll that captures deep skepticism over Washington’s rapidly expanding relationship with Caracas.

The survey by Venezuelan polling firm Meganálisis found that 80% of respondents did not support the Aug. 28 oil agreement, compared with 13% who supported it and 8% who said they did not know.

quote:

In the survey, conducted before her trip, 91% said they did not approve of Trump meeting with Rodríguez, while just 4% approved and 5% said they did not know.

quote:

That earlier survey, conducted in late August, found that 69% of respondents said they did not believe Trump wanted what was best for the Venezuelan people, while 21% said they believed he did, and 10% did not know or did not respond.

The results represented a dramatic reversal from the enthusiasm for Trump that Meganálisis recorded immediately after Maduro’s capture in January.

Meganálisis said its polling showed Trump’s approval in Venezuela at 92% in January, shortly after the U.S. operation, but only 21% by late August. Over the same period, his disapproval rating rose from 6% to 69%.

Before any pivoting, remember this is what you responded to:

quote:

The American glaze of our interventionism always starts with the "the people want to be like us" and then what ultimately happens is whatever goodwill we had, goes away once those people suffer due to our policies of intervention.

That's exactly what's happening in Venezuela and we have exerted control there.

Now, please don't start with a "the data is fake" response, because that same polling is what was used to argue they supported Trump.

Remember when Iran killed tens of thousands of protestors and we are going to arm them so they could take back their country? This is just step 2 of that

Especially when we're talking about the region of the world that contains 70% of the world's oil supply.

This is what people tend to forget.

A nuclear Iran would control Iraq, Iran, Saudi, Oman. They would 1000000% set an exorbitant toll to use the Strait which would once again hijack the cost of oil to their benefit.

No thanks. I'm good with what we're doing.

there is no doubt in my mind the Dem party has back channel people telling Iranian leaders, even those who are only trying to undermine current Iranian negotiators, telling them to gum up the works until after the election, and that is why we got DEALS then they either reneged

Yes, that the dems are back-channeling; No, that’s not why the “deals” fell through.

The deals fell through because in their culture there is zero pressure from a code of honor to keep one’s word, especially to an infidel. So the Iranians will always do what they deem to be in their best interests regardless of any deals they’ve made. They have been behaving this way since long before the Democratic Party was even conceived and long before America was discovered.

Same truth based on his comments and actions.

You are more than welcome to criticize Trump. But when you use his reasoning and it lines up with other posts about here, then its about him.

He is a typical GOPe who wants to compromise because he thinks that will make them and the left like us.

You can’t honestly believe that he doesn’t care what happens to here in the US.

That statement is just a stick to beat him about the head with.

It’s akin to someone saying you only care about Trump and I don’t think that’s true either.

Ascribing false beliefs upon others is simply wrong.

No I stated economic data......and you give me surveys.

Here is reason they express discontent, you left this out of your survey notes......

quote:

A new national survey conducted in the aftermath of Venezuela’s devastating June 24 earthquakes suggests the disaster has not only deepened public frustration with the government’s response but may also be reshaping Venezuelan attitudes toward President Donald Trump’s policy of engaging with the country’s interim government.

Disingenuous as usual.

Iran required the toll, but the toll was not paid to Tehran. It was paid to London. People need to understand that.

There is a reason Henry Kissinger said "I kept the British Foreign Office better informed and more closely engaged than I did the American State Department"
