Absolutely their will be a collapse of the army. In addition, the IRGC and regular army members weren't born and raised in test tubes. They have family that will be suffering. They have grandparents, parents, brothers and sisters, etc. They're going to know how their families will be suffering while they'll not be getting paid and maybe they're receiving food only, while their relatives suffer. Their paychecks don't go to the nudy bar in Tehran, it goes to support their families.
This ain't going to last once the military sees their families suffering.

I’m not as convinced. These people are motivated by warped religious ideology and not much else. They’ll kill off their own citizens to feed themselves if necessary and call it a glorious sacrifice for Allah.
Kind of like the climate change alarmists who buy homes at Marthas Vineyard and travel in private planes all over the world to important meetings....on climate change.....at resorts in the desert in cavernous air conditioned convention halls.
There are verified news reports of terrible in fighting as many of the irgc are working with their black market partners to siphon off billions for themselves personally as iran tries to circumvent the sanctions. Some of them have already left the country.
Religious zealots dont do that.
Note their top demand is not to stop bombing or remove the blockade, its always to unfreeze assets......their personal assets. You boy Bessent used to work for soros he knows all about dark money and how to move it.

I'm thinking Iran already is in a financial crisis. Once the citizens get hungry and thirsty(Iran already has a water shortage)
enough, maybe they rise up.

The Government and Army will be who is consuming all the available goods and services instead of the citizens just like what goes on in North Korea and other totalitarian governments.
Some of you are so god damn dumb. This isn't some 8D chess by Trump its 2D stupidity. Religious fanatics do not care and will not negotiate. The idea that the IRGC is going to 'starve' is laughable. Remember when this was only supposed to last "two weeks" because the Iranian government and military was going to capitulate? What happened with all that?

"We need to economically strangle and bomb Iran."
"Why do they hate us and chant death to America and support the regime?"

Yeah that's the cost of this strategy.
The American glaze of our interventionism always starts with the "the people want to be like us" and then what ultimately happens is whatever goodwill we had, goes away once those people suffer due to our policies of intervention.
That's exactly what's happening in Venezuela and we have exerted control there.
In Iran, we likely won't be able to do that and the question becomes who seizes power, and what the road looks like to achieve that goal.
*ETA: if this is anything like the past, pointing this out will lead to responses calling me some form of un-American

You are a wimp. A pushover. A reason why our nation has drifted into a shell of itself.
You compromised with the very people who is shoving socialism and trans down the nation's throat because you lack a spine.

Annualized inflation now at 90% but that doesnt tell the real story on the ground. In the last six weeks annualized inflation is 190% and now daily inflation is 1.64% or 600% on an annualized basis.
Soldiers are seeing pay delays. Imagine getting paid a month late and its worth half what you would have gotten if paid on time.
Seems they have taken the Zimbabwe school of economics.

I don't care what goes in some country 6,000 miles away. You neocon interventionists do.

And you dont care what happens here. Which is why you continue to compromise the nation away.
Your ignorance is willful because you are a scared little boy.

You sure about that.......
quote:
• Oil Production: Output has climbed past 1 million barrels per day with help from foreign energy companies.
• Food Prices: An injection of cash into local banks helped stabilize currency pressures, dropping meat and perishable food prices by up to 60%.
• GDP Growth: Economists project a potential 12% economic growth bounce for the year, largely driven by utilizing previously idle industrial capacity
We have a lot of Venezuelans here in Trinidad with relatives there, and to a person they say things are improving.

Just wait until they blame "globalists" on the Iranian population not succumbing to American influence that easily

Then you're not a wimp, you're just a dumb arse who can't connect the dots to understand that what goes on in some other country 6,000 miles away affects us over here.
Especially when we're talking about the region of the world that contains 70% of the world's oil supply.
For some reason y'all moat hermits can understand that the two are connected when "we cause" a problem over there (as though that region would chug along just fine if we weren't ever over there), but deny that there's any effect to the US when the region destabilizes on its own.
