I was told by the left that these statues should be in a museum and not on the streets.

This is why you don't give in, no matter how petty the issue is.

this is not about Teddy, people on both sides love and revere Teddy, its just a shitty statue.

CRT says America was set up to elevate one race over another and yall lose your minds. this statue LITERALLY has the white American elevated over a Native and an African, theyre a step behind too, it looks like a perp walk. if you dont think thats racist, fine, its imperialistic at the very least. those are not 3 equals depicted there.

theres a billion ways to honor Teddy, the man did so much, this is not one of them.

You're shitty.

"This statue LITERALLY has two minorities and only one white person!!!"

I'm not surprised the same group that canceled Uncle Ben and Aunt Jemima can squeeze lemon juice and squint at something and see racism.

Do us all a favor and frick off.

Never forget this all started when Nikki Haley pulled down a confederate flag on a confederate monument to further her political career..no going back after that.

It represents Theodore Roosevelt perfectly as you describe:

"The settler and pioneer have at bottom had justice on their side; this great continent could not have been kept as nothing but a game preserve for squalid savages"

"American and Indian, Boer and Zulu, Cossack and Tartar, New Zealander and Maori, – in each case the victor, horrible though many of his deeds are, has laid deep the foundations for the future greatness of a mighty people"

"I have not been able to think out any solution of the terrible problem offered by the presence of the Negro on this continent, but of one thing I am sure, and that is that inasmuch as he is here and can neither be killed nor driven away, the only wise and honorable and Christian thing to do is to treat each black man and each white man strictly on his merits as a man, giving him no more and no less than he shows himself worthy to have".

That last quote is exactly what antiracist and crt teachings tell us is white supremacy.

So why tear down this statue? Isn’t it a good conversation starter? Shouldn’t we talk about how Teddy Roosevelt was an unrepentant white supremacist? Why would you say we should honor him?

They told us to put our statues in a museum where they belong.

They weren’t equal. I see a determined Roosevelt leading them toward equality.

Remember when we were told these statues belong in a museum and not in public street corners?

So looking at George Floyd's past is racist and off limits, but judging historical figures through today's standards is perfectly fine.

Clown world.

if you're referring to the phrase "the presence of the Negro", then yes, absolutely, saying Negros are a problem to solved is very obviously putting your race above theirs.

so what.

its fine.

not ideal but whatever, Teddy isnt some piece of shite now because of 5 words he wrote in 1880. thats what yall dont get about this. Americans arent monsters because slavery was written into the Constitution 250 years ago. None of us did that shite, its not a reflection on us as individuals, so what exactly is the point in ignoring that? what is gained by that? its a problem, not the end of the world. deal with your problems.

you have no idea who Teddy Roosevelt is do you. he's the "only good Indian is a dead Indian" guy.

remember when he took a hundred million acres and created our national parks? that land was not empty. try and guess who he took it from.

he wasnt some butcher or anything but in no way did he ever see the Natives as equals, they were something in his way, a problem to be humanely dealt with.

he was a great man, even better American. just dont ignore his flaws, and sure as frick dont act like they were his strength.

these people want communism.

this is planned.

they are actually going about their goal in a smart way.

the dumbasses in the masses that fall for it, however, are dumber than dumb

Teddy Roosevelt founded the national park system. We can rename Yellowstone George Floyd National Park. The Grand Canyon? now Floyd Canyon. Mount Whitney? Mount Floyd

History is written by the victors. Dems won the election and now January 6th will go down as an insurrection by right wing domestic terrorists against the United States government in an attempt to overturn a free and fair election.

I’m willing to bet that the black people who would find a statue or teddy roosevelt offensive are probably not actually frequenting the museum.
