I lived in Texas until I moved back to Louisiana about 4 years ago. This very recent situation with Muslims building mosques and even trying to create their own city is shocking to me. There wasn't even a hint of anything going on like this when I lived there.
I will say this, too. Greg Abbott isn't exactly who he presents himself to be. I don't know exactly how he's compromised, but many people (not me) used to falsely think that he was basically the Texas equivalent of Ron DeSantis.

It's not on their website because they didn't organize the event, a local muslim organization rented out the park for the day and is hosting the event

I'm gonna hold my outrage until more of the story comes out. I see the event is on a Monday at an indoor water park, which leads me to believe maybe it wouldn't be too busy under normal circumstances. I also went to their webpage and found out that groups can rent out the park for the day for private events, so I assume that is what's happening here. This seems like a rage bait article to me.
