I have been preaching this for years. You could have looked in 2016 and 2020...not one other candidate projected strength that would make other leaders think twice about acting foolish other than Trump. Not even close. He had that "it" factor just like Reagan. You knew not to test him! Bottom line...and he wasn't! Go figure!
So many of our POTUS candidates color within the boundaries so to say. Trump didn’t! Mean tweets and all, it sent the message out that he didn’t mind getting down and dirty. That projects well on the international scene.

When Biden took office, there were only about 2,500 US troops in the country. There's been around 1,000 helping with the withdrawal/evacuation.

Most of the withdrawal was happening in April-June-July actually.
The Taliban didn't begin taking control of territories until 10 days ago.

Um...no. You said the withdrawal didn't start until the Taliban were already on their doorstep. That's just not true or accurate. They've been withdrawing people all over the country for months now. The remaining people were mainly in Kabul. Obviously Kabul fell much faster than most people thought it would. Again, the Taliban didn't even begin taking over territories until 10 days ago.

It’s funny they say the rest of the world mocked us bc of Trump, but I don’t remember anyone testing him. The ones who did got Wile E Coyote’d. Instead they waited for him to leave and then picked it back up.

And yet they held back the Taliban under Trump. This would be they same presence that Biden had until his further drawdown BEFORE getting the American and its friends out . The 300k that Biden said could hold back the 75k was proven useless yet the amount of troops there prior to end of Trump’s of leadership held back those 75k . Was it the 2k or the threat of Trump’s reprisal that held the Taliban back ?

Trump would've pulled out on the deadline, and prior to pulling out, probably would've evacuated the city of all people who want to escape.

Bottom line is trump would’ve started pulling out, taliban would’ve started to move, trump would’ve sent back troops.

I think telegraphing to the enemy when you are going to do something pretty much ensures humiliation. Should have drawn down and then over a weekend beginning on Friday afternoon until dawn on Monday you get everyone out.
