Is the Kabul International Airport INDEED right now under "heavy artillery fire"? If not, then please change the thread title.

Yep, I took PSYC 1001 decades ago. You need to familiarize yourself with real life.

they run polar opposite platforms.

Yeah Obama to Trump makes sense since they both ran as populist outsiders vowing to end wars and stick it to corporations. Trump to Biden doesn’t though.

I guess it would make sense that someone who votes on feelings would believe this. Dear Lord.

This is a pretty good read.

Afghan Dispatches - Afghan law student on the fall of Kabul and Taliban victory

quote:

The fact that the government had still thousands of armed forces at the ready and had not deployed them or did not give them the green light to go, has everyone in shock.

The last serious battle was in Helmand and Herat the rest of the provinces were taken effortlessly and with merely small resistance of the locals who gave up without receiving support. In Kabul as of today most of the military were abounded [abandoned?] by their commanders and no meaningful resistance was made against the Taliban.

Taliban are too smart to attack. Let us leave and they get the country back. They attack and it could get messy.

I’m not sure if that’s true anymore. The Taliban could kill a thousand Americans and I’m not sure if the Biden administration will do shite. If I’m China I’m manning the boats and Air Force to invade Taiwan at this point.

Congrats. You are now deplatformed by Amazon, Google, Facebook, Microsoft and Apple.

It wasn't a discussion about the pride flag, in particular.

Literal quotes preceding your latest retarded bullshite, from part of your previous retarded bullshite:

“Going to fricking Afghanistan and flying a pride flag from our embassy told them all they need to know about America.”

“They don't give a shite about our pride flag.”

“Go fly it around the Taliban and see what happens.”

I mean seriously, just how stupid are you?

quote:

It was a discussion about what would upset the Taliban. Unfortunately the US flag (which they hate and burn at every chance) upsets them far more than the pride flag (which they have never even acknowledged and don't care about at all).

It’s completely irrelevant. The US flag is being flown by a US building, occupied by US soldiers and citizens. What country is the pride flag representing?

And here’s a real surprise, the pride flag wasn’t flown at that or any embassy until the people you voted for said it was acceptable. This is what you voted for.

quote:

Keep showing that you know nothing about what is actually happening, or whatever.

Moral compass, ideology and conviction are all "feelings". Hell, Centinel said earlier he voted Libertarian for 20 years and that's without much of a Libertarian government presence in terms of elected officials at any point. I admire that myself. No one should ever vote straight party ticket, IMO, regardless of red blue etc.
