It boggles my mind Biden hasn’t even bothered to return to the White House or address the nation. What a fricking coward. If he had a shred of decency or dignity he’d resign in disgrace.

Considering I read somewhere in the last day or two that they moved embassy operations to the airport, I’m not sure it’s a feather in your cap to say no one is left in the physical embassy building.

Agreed. I’ve been catching up on it and what a shitte show. It was well past time to leave and I don’t care if the Taliban does take control, that’s up to the afghans to figure out. But our exit has been nothing short of chaotic.

I don't know. Is this this same President to order the evacuation of our military presence in the middle of the night while not bothering to tell our allies, then tell our enemies they are incompetent and that there's no way they can reclaim control of the country?

So far I have yet to see a dead body. Other than that Mexican tweet from an unknown date and location.
It appears the Taliban is merely doing what everyone expected them to do, unite Afghanistan while allowing our people to evacuate.
Until bodies start dropping this seems much ado about nothing.

Link? I'm fairly certain we've discussed moving troops out of Afghanistan for years up to this point.
It isn't because they didn't know. It's because Afghani Gov't couldn't get their heads out of their arse to come up with an effective plan. We told them we would leave but obviously did a piss poor job of putting/working together on a plan.
Taliban have been marching towards Kabul since early this year.
