The loss of 13 elite soldiers is a sad event. The age of ten was 23 and under, just a couple years out of high school.
I would have thought the experience level would have been higher. None of them could have been exposed to a firefight previously. Why were they doing duty out side the fence. Was the whole 5000 soldiers at that location of similar age

Remember right before this happened the CIA director had been there to talk to the Taliban. There was some talk that we may extend past the 31st. Then boom, Taliban flexes its muscle by either doing this or allowing it to happen and then blame someone else.
