That Alex Tiffin guy is known in the UK to be full of shite. He is an apparent phoney. I think you have to take what he posts with a grain of salt.

There's just something off about this whole thing to me. I simply cannot believe that the Taliban would just "let" us evacuate like this. After all that's happened, over 20 years of death, mayhem, money...what gives here?
They did sign the Doha Agreement with Trump in early 2020. Cease fire, prisoner swap, ease sanctions, no al-qaeda camps, and we draw down from 13k military personnel in country to zero.
It was an official "peace" agreement supported by several countries in the region, the UN, NATO, and our allies.
A timeline was followed with a few hiccups along the way, mostly Taliban fricking with Afghan soldiers/govt who were not part of the agreement.
This is just the culmination of a process that has been in the works for 18 months.
Why wouldn't they let us leave? They are in a much better position than 20 years ago financially, strategically, militarily.
As for sore feelings, they've had the last 10 years to sort that out. The war was basically over in 2011, the last 10 years were just our politicians trying to kick the can and figure out how to spend a trillion dollars, while sending our men and women over to protect their assets.
Not to say we should trust them or like them or forgive them, but for all parties a quick and peaceful exit is a win at this point, which appears to be happening, despite the incompetence of the current leadership.

A video I haven't seen:

From early afternoon outside Kabul Airport, #Afghanistan.
People are so desperate they are trying to hand over their children so they can at least escape the country.
No words. LINK

There is some shite going on with that guy. I think he posts some good stuff but it sounds like he got in trouble.
He apparently beat a pregnant woman but was trying to run for office.
Sparked a Terror Scare
etc.

This President thinks that Ron DeSantis is a bigger threat to Americans than the Taliban is right now. This is disgraceful.

This is from a guy who has been going through and videoing the NATO compound that has been abandoned:
Looks like they just started destroying shite with hammers and by dropping it on the ground. It shows their hasty exit.

I will leave those up, because I think the videos are at least legit. I won't use him anymore, though. Appreciate it.

Try to wrap your minds around this:
There is an active GoFundMe campaign to raise funds for evacuation efforts. Let that sink in.
It has raised over 5 million dollars so far.
