You would think they would update this information daily to a US Gov't cloud server in the event of a situation like this.
You are assuming they really give a damn about getting those people back safely. At the point they deleted that it served them better to have deniability. "We wanted to save them but couldn't!"

At least triple that number and if you have learned anything from Government over the years any number they throw out you always multiply times 3 to be conservative because that is closer to the real number.

Correct. I’m being conservative with those numbers and I hope they’re right, because there are likely way more people than that over there.

Oh well it’s all logistics
Germany: Airbus A-400M with space for 150 people, departed Tuesday with 7 on board
Australia: Hercules C-130 with space for 120 people, departed Wednesday with 26 on board
Netherlands: Boeing C-17 with space for 150 people, departed Tuesday with 40 on board
France: Airbus A400M with space for 150 people, departed Tuesday with 41 on board
Italy: Boeing KC767 with space for up to 200 people, departed Monday with 70 on board
Spain: Airbus A-400M with space for 150 people, departed Wednesday with unknown number on board - though officials earlier said just 25 embassy staff had made it to the airport
ihome was dead on from the beginning that unless you can get out via private extraction you were going to be killed or sold into slavery. I mean those numbers tell you everything!

The SoS tossed out "15k to 40k" yesterday.
They have no idea how many are there.

Can you imagine how the 82nd feels knowing there are American citizens out there that could be extracted, and likely allowed to by Taliban, but they are ordered not to?

#1 reason when you travel overseas for a living that you always carry dual passports. Buy a Canadian, Italian, Belgium, or French house if you are an american because at least they will go in and extract you out. We are the modern day France= retreat when confronted.

So where is the 82nd?? There and hanging out??
Posted on 8/18/21 at 10:55 am to tiger91
I don't think the 82nd has landed yet. I think they were headed but were rerouted to Kuwait if I recall unless things have changed over the last 36 hrs.

Pretty sure it's the UK equivalent to the 82nd, more or less.

I will say what I said yesterday again:
Throw out the clusterfrick we're currently witnessing. Let's say today is two months ago, but we have a key piece of knowledge. That knowledge is that our State Dept. doesn't have the faintest of ideas how many American citizens are currently in the capital city of a country that is an active war zone.
Let that sink in. Kabul (and Afghanistan) has been treated like any other holiday destination in regards to how we track who is going and coming. That shite is inexcusable on a regular old day, much less when you have an enemy Army rolling through the country.

Yeah, they should be sad and mortified by what they did. In fact they should be in jail for not evacuating our citizens, allies, and Afghan interpreters from there. We’re on track for more dead Americans than 9/11 and the war combined.
