So he just admitted he is pulling the plug on the Afghan families who worked for us. He is providing Visas to only 2000 Afghanistan residents.

He won't mislead the American people by saying a little more time would make all the difference.
It certainly would have made the difference between a reasonable drawdown and what he ended up going with. But again, he will not be addressing his actual mistakes here today. Likely never will.

the speech writers actually didn't do that bad with this, and i've liked a good bit of what this idiot has said, but it's just laughable coming from him b/c no one believes him, or for our enemies, believes in his threats.

He really hasn't said anything that hasn't already been said via back channels. He's yet to address any specific concerns.
