Saw a poll this week at 47-47. I just can't believe that. This is Texas. Surely that race is NOT that close.

Paxton's going to win but I think it'll be uncomfortably close because of all the ick on Paxton.

The polls always look like this. Beto was supposed to win too.

When was the last time polls didn’t favor the Democrats?

I saw that Jeff Flake, former Arizona Republican Senator (and TDS sufferer) has endorsed Talarico.

It is what pollsters do to make dems feel there is a chance if they will just show up and vote for the christian fig.

You are correct.. calm down.

There is no way Talarico can out-perform Beto.

With regard to this contest, you need to enjoy every day until November - it will never get better for the Democrats in that race.

Did you see the polls that had Kamala winning ?

Side Note: "Polls" are fighting Kalshi / Polimarket, which are a prediction market, because they can't control the outcomes.

Paxton was around 72% chance of winning the last time I looked at the prediction markets.

Everyone thinks Talerico is a creepy little freak. He'll lose by 12

This is going to be close like Cruz/Beto. But Paxton will win. Thank goodness the Dems fielded a creep, yet again.

There are lots of people who absolutely cannot stand Paxton. I am surprised it's that tight though.

The ick on Paxton? He has nothing compared to the ick on Talarico. If the republicans of Texas are so apathetic they let that nut in, then they really do get what they deserve. I know a lot of people sit out the midterms because they are lazy sacks of shite but Talarico is the worst.

I'm not so sure of that in lieu of recent election and vote fraud.

Paxton is a total scumbag. Not shocking people aren’t chomping at the bit to vote for him.

According to which of the various polls documented here? Every single one, even usual left-leaning Quinnipac and NY Times had Cruz winning.

LINK

In fact, the actual result was closer than the polls overall were showing.

That said, I don’t see Texas voters opting for Talarico statewide.
