The right to own slaves was mentioned earlier but we can move on from that since it is an obvious one everyone agrees on, what else?

Because abortion is murder, I am in favor of the government taking away the right to abort. This preserves another human being's life and rights.

I think it’s a little more complicated than that. I’m not personally in favor of abortion for my family but I’m also not in favor of it being illegal for everyone.

I’m also aware that isn’t what happened today and the legality of abortion is left to the states, I’m just stating my thoughts

Your premise is flawed because at no point has abortion ever been a right that was guaranteed by the constitution. Therefore you can’t take away something that never was.

Well it depends. The American public tends to frick things up if you don't have some kind of limits as to what people can do. It is the rule of never being able to have anything nice because people ruin shite, so then comes the rules or restrictions because people cannot control themselves.

If you really want a discussion about “rights” name the right you are thinking about or want to discuss. Every right has a different basis of reason for that right. Freedom of the press is much different from the right to have a gun. Smaller government in a moral civilized society is always a good thing but when a 2 party system are complete opposite ends of the spectrum in civility and morally then each right has to be debated and discussed individually. A general question of rights being taken away is a gotcha question regardless of of the right. One side will agree one way and the other side will disagree. Every issue is so polarized there is no reaching across the aisle. So just stop with the bull shite I just want a discussions about general rights.

Ok you want a general answer yes constitutional rights established specifically by the constitution on this day 06/25/2022 are bad to be taken away.

But even some of those will get multiple discussions much like taxation. I don’t think the federal government should receive taxation outside of anything other then a very small subsidy for income that politicians should return to their normal jobs after 1-2 terms and for national defense.

So nothing about any right can be generalized as good or bad. So just spit out what right you want to discuss because multiple people have shot holes in rights being either good or bad considering the context of the right.
