If they’d get admitted they would probably be given oxygen.

Seem here that it's more likely the opposite. From what I understand, he received oxygen at the White House prior to being admitted.

Seems like that’s SOP for hospitals

That's not how any of this works. Every effort would be aimed toward getting someone breathing on their own. He got O2 because he needed O2. Apparently, he got O2 treatment on two different days in response to drops in O2 levels.

It’s something else you can get charged for.

Supplemental O2 would almost certainly be caught in whatever DRG the patient is admitted with so it's probably not going to incur an incremental charge.

but it more or less is just another reason why the administration should just be transparent.

That's just it. You proved the point. The media is taking Trump to being on oxygen as some kind of bad Bat signal thing that isn't there.

The doctors should have said it was simply routine. They allowed the MSM to make it a big deal and a “coverup”.

Damn!! 94% is a good normal for some of us. 92 to 96 is common.

The doctor said that more than once.

The President was never NOT breathing on his own. The doctor even said the President never experienced any shortness of breath.

Seriously, what is wrong with you??

I know. When I was admitted to the hospital when I had bilateral pulmonary embolisms my O2 level was 86%. It took 12 hours of O2 (and blood thinning IV) before I was back to 95% again.

I apologize for the imprecise in language. I should have written "Every effort would be aimed toward getting someone to breathe without supplemental oxygen. He got O2 because he needed O2. Apparently, he got O2 treatment on two different days in response to drops in O2 levels." Hope this makes you feel better.

That's just as silly.

The President wasn't given oxygen because he was having trouble breathing. He never had trouble breathing.

Why are you being so obtuse about this? What is your agenda?

One of Trump's advisors noted that the transfer to Walter Reed was done in response to Trump experiencing a shortness of breath. He seems to be doing fine now and the treatment has been extremely effective.. looks like it was more serious than they let on Friday/Saturday but he's basically out of the woods now.

Navy Cmdr. Dr. Sean Conley was pressed Sunday on why his rosy picture of the president’s health was contradicted moments later by White House chief of staff Mark Meadows, who expressed that the medical team was very concerned with the president’s health Friday morning when he experienced a drop in his blood oxygen levels and had a high fever.

Said Conley: “I was trying to reflect the upbeat attitude of the team, that the president, that his course of illness has had.”

He added that he “didn’t want to give any information that might steer the course of illness in another direction. And in doing so, came off like we’re trying to hide something, which wasn’t necessarily true.”

Before walking away, Conley said the president had a “high fever” and a blood oxygen level below 94% on Friday and during “another episode” on Saturday. He was evasive when asked whether Trump’s level had dropped below 90%: “We don’t have any recordings here on that.”

Ackchually, 93% and above is fine. The supplementation was in an extreme abundance of caution.
