I guess we should embrace Wal-Mart because of its egalitarian pricing and shopping model and condemn farmer's markets.

The world has come full circle.

This social exclusion is reinforced by the “whiteness of farmers’ markets” and the “white habitus” that they can reinforce, the professors elaborate, describing farmers’ markets as “white spaces where the food consumption habits of white people are normalized.”

Meaning they dont take food stamps.

First they complain about food deserts in the ghetto and how they can't get healthy foods, now they're pissed off that there are local healthy options in the ghetto

Only black-owned and black-worked farms should open farmer's markets in black-lived areas...

I don't like the term "space" unless it refers to the area outside Earth's atmosphere.

Citing research they conducted in San Diego . . .

I don't think that I can afford to get off a bus in San Diego. It's all upscale to me. Also, one of the goal of a farmer's market is to get higher prices paid directly to the farmer. They are always higher priced than going to WalMart for produce.

They don't really. It basically just illustrates how far these people have now gone through the looking glass in such a large segment of academia.

Businesses locate in areas where people will buy their products?

THAT'S RACIST!

Smaller businesses need higher margins to operate and survive.
