Why would you take the vaccine when it clearly doesn’t work and it can, in fact, kill you or produce severe adverse reactions?

And, we have absolutely no f*cking clue what the long-term side effects of these drugs are. In fact, we are in the infancy of determining what the short-term side effects are.

Ill give you the science. They banked on these vaccines working back in 2019-2020. Problem is the vaccines dont work as intended and they know it. They created a bunch of superspreaders. The vaccinated carry massive viral loads and they scurry about leaving "residue" of thier bad decision everywhere. The powers that be know this so they want everyone masked up and vaccinated in an attempt to keep the #s down. They wont admit thier mistakes, its thier attempt at covering up thier mistakes.

I get Arguing if you already had Covid the vaccine is pointless, but pretending getting Covid is a better option than getting the vaccine is dumb.

How about neither?

I'm not foolish enough to believe I won't get it, but approximately 12% of my age group has contracted COVID based on CDC data. Even if we believe the CDC estimate that as many as 120 million people have potentially had COVID, and all proportions remain the same for the population, that brings it up to 36%. Alittle more than a third of my demographic has has COVID if that estimate is accurate. And of that, only 8k have dies.

I don't feel the need to get a vaccine for something that isn't killing massive amounts of people my age. The DATA doesn't suggest that it's beneficial to me, so why should I take it?

Do I think getting COVID is a better option than the vaccine? Hell, I don't know, because I don't know how I would react to either of them. All I know is I've gone through the 2 worst outbreaks of COVID and have not gotten sick.

you can find any outcome you like from a study. you just need to look. this is actually a major part of the problem.

if the studies are done in such a way that they steer towards a desired response, then where does that leave the general public?

read what you can and make your own decisions. that is where it leaves us. and where it should be anyway.

This is not about science and keeping covid at bay. This is an over reach and they need the larger companies and corporations to abide to influence the small business to join in. I think if they went after the small business as well there would be a revolt. But with big corporations, people are too afraid to be fired and replaced because they have so much invested. But in the small business world, those employees aren't that invested, and can find other work a lot of times.

The less that 100 employee business are vast in number and make up a huge % of the employed, so this isn't about science and protecting the public. It is seeing if they can get away with this power grab with the big companies and then they can grab it from the small business later.

Small Business Council

Look at the % of business with less than 100 employees.
"6.1 million employer firms in 2018"
98% of those employers have less than 100 employees.
Approx 1% of that number have 100-500 employees.

That is a huge swath of employers that aren't mandated to have employees vax'd.

The vaccine really is just yet another line of defense. For some it can be marginally effective, for others it can be risky. Nothing more. Get it if you want it, if you don't, it really does not make any difference to those who have been vaccinated. As far as pure science goes, it makes no sense for the government to push it as a cure or end to a pandemic.

I wouldn't have a problem if the government was to encourage people to get it strictly for that person's own good but anything more than this is purely for the delusion of control.

If we followed the science, people under 50 would be having COVID parties like we did as kids with chicken pox. Just get it, get the antibodies, and be done with it.

Like all things, Government stepped in and made something bad even worse.

Well, to be fair, it would definitely depend on known comorbidities. Obviously, you wouldn't want to give some morbidly obese kid Covid. But, it's THOSE kids you would want to isolate, distant learn and wear a mask until the rest of the kids (and population) acquire herd immunity. Oh, and while they're isolating, PUT THOSE LITTLE FAT F*CKS ON A DIET AND EXERCISE REGIME so that they too will not be so at risk both for Covid and all the other diseases associated with childhood obesity.

But, overall, I agree with your sentiments. When I was kid, my brother got chicken pox over the summer. My mom purposely exposed me so that I would get it over the summer and wouldn't have to miss school. A few of her friend's kids came over and we gave it to them too -- ON PURPOSE!

An epidemiologist was discussing the mass vax'ing during the pandemic causes the variants as the virus mutates in order to survive. This is making the virus worse for non-vax'd. You are seeing higher morbidity rates among unvax'd now than you did during 2020.

My take, you were seeing numbers going down and getting pretty low through late 2020. Then they go up to current levels as more are vax'd. How has the vaccine worked or been successful?
The govts have made things worse and have divided their respective countries. Reagan was right when he said the most scary phrase was "We are from the govt we are here to help."

No one is arguing that the vaccine is pointless. They are arguing that it (nor covid) doesnt rise to the level of significance that a free people need to be strapped to a fricking table and injected with gene manipulating shots by unelected bureaucrats.

Try to keep up.

If this were being proposed by a republican administration, even if the vaccine was infallible, they would be burning every city in america in protest. And I think most conservatives would be right there with them.

Touché! We probably won’t know the full benefit or detrimental effects of these vaccines for 10-20 years,

This *^^ has been partially my belief but there’s definitely a authoritarian control component also.
