If it’s pigeon it’s pretty tasty.
Right. It never cease to amaze me how reactionary people are.

What I remember is that it was a dark meat cooked with a pink center. Kind of like what you see with a sandhill crane.
...or spotted owl, or bald eagle...

Lmao… that’s a good damn question.
That made me laugh.

They should advertise it as squab and triple the price.

Remembering the story of the little Cajun boy that was walking down the road holding a dead owl and a shotgun
A man walking towards him asked what he was going to do with and he replied "my mamaw going to cook it"
He then asked the boy " what does it taste like"
The boy then replied "a lot like hawk"

Never eaten a pigeon, but I've eaten a lot of doves. Is the meat similar in taste?
Back 45-50 years ago I used to hunt along some railroad right of way out in the country that had a lot of doves and some wild pigeons that were drawn to the grain laying along the tracks, we shot a few pigeons and cleaned them but I don't recall what they tasted like.

They're nothing more than big doves, and dove breasts are delicious!

Friend,
While there are many superior food options in America’s greatest city, when walking back to The Plaza after a late off-Broadway show, it is hard to beat a chicken shawarma wrap for the walk home. There is strict enforcement on those carts, and I doubt a cart owner would risk losing his permit. Although the city charges $200 for the permit, most of the permits are owned by people who have owned the permit for decades and resell to the people you see selling from the cart. I read the average cart owner today pays $18,000 annually for his permit.
Pigeon, by the way, is delicious. The last Michelin starred restaurant I visited in Europe served pigeon as its prized dish. Chicken is much cheaper than pigeon and most people would not enjoy eating pigeon, as it is a very bloody meat. A cart serving pigeon would not last long.

Religion of piss. They will try anything to make western people sick. Halal food = not fit for consumption. They will take money and use it to fund terrorism.

I mean I’m not really seeing a huge problem. I’d eat it if he fixed it for me. But I would bet money he caught that bird for his own personal meal and not to supplement the meat in the truck.
