For the first time, we are hearing from a state witness to the fatally stabbing of Austin Metcalf.
He was there to run the 800 meter race
He described the scene as he arrived at the stadium and who was there.
He entered the Memorial High tent and says he saw Karmelo inside.
He testified that Karmelo was hanging out in the tent
“I remember people confronting Karmelo and saying you shouldn’t be here you probably should leave our tent.”
“I also said you should leave”
Prosecutor:: Was it aggressive? “I don’t think so”
“I remember it getting more aggressive”
“I remember Karmelo refusing to leave and Austin saying you need to leave and Karmelo saying 'touch me and find out'”
Austin’s track teammate says Karmelo was asked to leave about 15 times
Prosecutor: “Did anyone try to gang up on him?” No, sir
Prosecutor: “How long did this go on? Roughly 2 minutes”
Prosecutor: “Was Karmelo angry? Yes, sir”
Prosecutor: “Was Austin angry? Yes, sir”
“Karmelo started refusing to leave”
Prosecutors: “Who was provoking? Karmelo”
“Austin leans in to push him and Karmelo stabs him”
“Karmelo had his hands inside a backpack and we thought it was bluff”
He says he and others didn’t believe Karmelo would do anything because they live in a “safe” community
“Austin fell down the bleachers onto his back and he got up”
“He lifted up his shirt where his chest was all bloody and he said i think i got stabbed”
Prosecutor: Did he say anything? “I think he said “Oh my God’”

This seems to contradict the other story out there that Karmelo left, got the knife, and came back several minutes later.

Yeah, according to this kid he had the knife in his backpack

Hope they show the on-camera gasps from Anthony’s family when the verdict finds him guilty. Will be priceless

I haven't seen a picture of the tent, but if it's anything like we used to set up, it's one of those 10'x10' canopy tents. It would be incredibly weird for a stranger to be sitting under it and they'd be uncomfortably close to the belongings of people who are out warming up, racing, etc. It'd be like someone walking up to your tailgate tent and sitting down unannounced.

Don’t all kids bring knife to track meets?

Just on Gouevia that the defense is gonna say his motive was that Austin was bigger than him, thus threatening. Reporter also said the people outside the court were 95% blacks supporting the accused. Might be some violence before this is over.

I’m guessing they think this is a sure thing, because you know…race.

A little more racism and you might be alive. Always think the YN is going to use a weapon.

Anthony seems like such a nice, wholesome, all-American kid ....

That could have happened before the witness arrived.

The witness was there for the entire altercation according to the transcribed testimony in the OP.

Would it matter??? If he left the tent and got a knife, it would be just as bad if he already had the knife in his backpack.
Why would a high school track athlete need to bring a knife to a track meet?

Well, they can be consoled with the money from the GoFundMe. It's up to 600K.

It's going to be a very HOT summer in many of our cities this summer.
JD Miles has been providing excellent unbiased coverage on X. I know it's early but it does not look good for lil mello. I would think based on testimony today, him getting the needle in Texas is a slam dunk if the DA wanted to go that far.

Might???? You don't think BLM and whatever other Marxist, Soros funded organizations aren't organizing and coordinating another George Floyd type event?????
If ourFBI is worth a shite, they will have anticipated this and already be monitoring any and all communications.
They FBI knows who needs to be monitored. IMHO
