Unelected bureaucrat, Josh Paul of the State Department’s Bureau of Political-Military Affairs. He was responsible for transferring arms to American allies.

"Today I informed my colleagues that I have resigned from the State Department, due to a policy disagreement concerning our continued lethal assistance to Israel," Paul wrote on LinkedIn.
He added: "I cannot work in support of a set of major policy decisions, including rushing more arms to one side of the conflict, that I believe to be shortsighted, destructive, unjust, and contradictory to the very values that we publicly espouse."
quote:
"In my 11 years I have made more moral compromises than I can recall, each heavily, but each with my promise to myself in mind, and intact. I am leaving today because I believe that in our current course with regards to the continued — indeed, expanded and expedited — provision of lethal arms to Israel — I have reached the end of that bargain."

Later in the statement, Paul said the U.S., as a "third party," should not take a side in the conflict and suggested that Israel had committed "gross violations of human rights."

This board used to think that Snowden and Assange were evil in ~ 2013-2015. Who the hell knows about anything.

I read this article, my take away is, he doesn't believe we should be "helping"....
because when we do help, we create an endless cycle of unintended consequences
Aid here= creates more conflict over there
Aiding Ukraine, only adds more conflict with Russia...
Aid Israel = more conflict with the region
I am not saying I agree, but I do understand ...
you get involved in someone elses mess and you're never not involved

You know what they say about opinions..... I support Israel but not Ukraine. Why would his quitting make news?

shite like this is why quite a few departments in DC are in need of an enema.

so biden hired a terrorist sympathizer and he was in charge of supplying weapons to our allies
its not even funny how unshocking it is to hear that this is going on

One bitch who feels this way is in charge of handling asylum claims.
I can only imagine the percentage of Muslims who get asylum under her.

What a funny crisis of conscience. Lethal arms to Ukraine = good, no crisis. Lethal arms to Israel = bad, crisis of conscience.
Who wants to tell him that dead people are just as dead, whether they are laying in Gaza or Ukraine?

Seems like traitors have infiltrated everything.

They are fine with dead Russians.
They are NOT fine with dead Palestinians and see dead Israelis as a good thing.

So a guy nobody has ever heard of rage quits. Doesn't seem newsworthy.

At least he is principled enough to resign.

He's not the policymaker. He is merely the arms and legs to fulfill. Who gives a shite what he thinks?

It is when he is rage quitting over Israel. Mainstream media has a narrative to sell, you know.
