I'm not a democrat, but I am a Georgian. She is a darling of the left and really stirred up black voters in ATL.
This isn't an effort to convince the middle that Trump's vision is wrong, this will be a straightforward appeal to stir up the democratic base. Especially the black voters which were notably absent in the 2016 election. The democrats have to count on the black vote coming out in volume if they want to win in 2020. That is just the way it is.
