I am too. Very surprised.

I mean… how many people would report one of these squatters “missing”?

It’s time to bring back some mob tactics on this mess and it would stop pretty fast.

This is going to be the next big push from Democrat leaders and voters. Another form of theft, which is all they know.

It won't be long before they will get on TV and straight up tell their voters to just go and take over someone else's property. They will encourage finding out whose home is empty due to vacations, work travel, etc, and encourage them to break in and take it.

Then moderates like Corintheans, Chilli, etc will come here and tell you that you shouldn't leave your home.

A simpler fix is, don’t call the law or try to report the squatters. Either use your key to get in, or if they changed the lock, bust in. Simply make them leave at the muzzle of a gun, or shoot all the occupants dead and tell the police you came home and these invaders attacked you and your family.

Tbh I like the efile solution more. If I wanted to get into dangerous situations and point guns at people I'd be a cop

There was a drastic left wing overhaul of Texas squatter/eviction laws recently?

I'm with you because my tolerance is very low with people who steal. Heck I'd go to jail if that happened to me because I seriously don't care for people who do that.

I’m trying to imagine what I would do if I came back after a ten day vacation and someone who had broken into my house was living there and I was told the police would not arrest them for breaking and entering, trespassing, etc and that I would have to go to court to evict them. I really don’t think I could stop from physically removing that person by any means necessary. I guess I’d end up in jail for battery or murder. What a joke this is. Someone breaks in and stays for 10 days and the law treats them like a fricking lease paying tenant?

This is actually what needs to happen

People are too reliant on law enforcement and need to take matters into their own hands far more often

If a DA goes after Vigilantes the Vigilantes should go after that DA, it won't take but a few examples to be made and a lot of this will stop quickly

It’s not surprising, really; after all, the Biden regime seems more worried about protecting criminals through their “Defund the Police” and “Bail Reform” disasters

This squatter issue has literally nothing to do with Biden

Also, "Defund the Police" and "Bail reform" are state/local issues. Biden is not a local politician.

Give me a reasonable time frame and name your bet size.

*ETA: and give a reasonable and specific operating definition of "Democrat leader"

Watching the echo chamber amplify this random topic that's been going on for years and years has been fascinating to watch.

The intended fear response is being displayed heavily, as well as the requests to expand government (namely police power, see: Florida's new laws).

Amazing what fear does to "small government conservatives".
