I’m not necessarily advocating for more “big government response.”

I’m advocating that if the government is going to not help, they get the frick out of the way.

And they did to competing tribes? For thousands of years?

I hate to inform you folks…. Conflict over land didn’t start with Europeans setting foot on the continent.

There's nothing incoherent in that at all. If you had trouble understanding, then you are an idiot. We all know you are a statist bootlicker, though.

The courts that issue the eviction judgments aren't some private Libertarian fantasy courts

Explain to me how George Floyd has anything to do with a problem that existed years prior to his death, then.

I didn't have trouble understanding the word salad of echo chamber dog whistles he included, but their relevance to this topic/thread is nonexistent.

“Eviction judgments” where no actual rental agreement or lease ever took place and that a hardworking person has to fight with for years while being denied their property.

How about I show up and claim your home while you are at court and show off a phony lease? I’ll go ahead and knock out some walls to open things up.

she was told because the squatter had been there for more than ten days she would have to evict him.

WTF, so basically, don't go on vacation for 2 weeks. otherwise, you may have to evict someone from your own home

You will. When government doesnt fulfill its role, vigilantes will become more prevalent.

Of course the soy boys will get pissed, but its on them. Bleeding hearts lead to unintended consequences.

That's due process and how Western society has handled this problem since like Rome. I'm pretty sure LA's lease law dates back to at least the Justinian code.

And what if I called LEO and did the equivalent of a "Swatting" on you and had them evict you without giving you an opportunity to respond?

So if you, your wife and kids were sleeping and a burglar broke into your house, you’d simply call the police and wait?!

I’d claim my landlord was a high level drug dealer and that they need to shake him down.

Not victim blaming, but common sense should kick in that you can’t leave your house for weeks or months and fully expect some random contractors to do work without having a friend or family member present or checking in on the property. Not in current day.

Yes and it has been for years and years. The reason why it's been going on so long is there is no easy solution.

You're only seeing one side.

You can't just eliminate due process. That would be WEAPONIZED BY DESIGN (added to include equal emotional impact to your capitalization) too

That still leaves you out of your place.

And no landlord is required. Unless you're walking around with your mortgage paperwork in your hands all the time, they could do this in your home.

I don't think I'd want to live in a state where I had to bother with one of these.

One already did in NY. I'm just waiting for it to be a squatter for once instead of a homeowner.
