"When the White House sends its rescissions package to the House, we will act quickly by passing legislation to codify the cuts."
"The House will use the appropriations process to swiftly implement President Trump’s 2026 budget."
"DOGE found savings in discretionary spending (such as funding agencies), while our One Big Beautiful Bill secured over $1.6 trillion in savings in mandatory spending (such as Medicaid). Both are HISTORIC and take HUGE steps toward addressing our debt and deficit."
"The House is eager and ready to act on DOGE’s findings so we can deliver even more cuts to big government that President Trump wants and the American people demand."

This is what Massie hinted at a week ago. Too bad I don’t trust them.

What’s the explanation on why the didn’t include them on the original version? Were they left out so the bill would pass the Senate?

Lol ya right, they’ll just keep spending

I think it’s a procedural thing with this being a reconciliation bill. I could also be completely wrong and just confused at this point.

Little Johnson is learning the game.

The bill passed the House by one vote. Cut more spending and you risk losing votes.

There is a scenario where they need to get this bill passed for spending and extending the current tax setup and THEN targeting specific cuts based on DOGE findings.
There’s about a 10% chance of that happening but I’m still hopeful.

Right I mean if the GOP lets the TCJA tax provisions expire at the end of the year then the GOP will get destroyed in the midterms.

Remember his tweets about no money for Ukraine unless the border was secured two years ago?
If he doesn't deliver or drags his feet til the midterms, primary him.
Same for Thune.

Speaker Johnson is spot-on—DOGE’s $175B in verified savings from axing bloated contracts and grants proves that real fiscal discipline isn’t optional. The House codifying these cuts through appropriations is how you lock in efficiency gains, not temporary political wins.

I’m really tired of the operative words in all CAPs shite

Too hard and they aren't really interested in cutting spending... If they were, my question is why are they waiting for Trump to send them the cuts, they can pass it one page at a time...

There was a media notice they canceled the vote to codify DODGE.
Musk calls them out nicely...
And suddenly they are waiting on paperwork?
I'll take it but they better not be gaslighting.... as there are a lot of MAGA people that may camp out in DC until they do their fricking jobs or GTFO.
