SOUTH AFRICA: President Trump Signs EO to Accept 17,500 Afrikaner Refugees

The Trump administration intends to accept a further 10,000 Afrikaner refugees into the United States in addition to the 6,000 Afrikaners already accepted, raising the 2026 cap to 17,500. Meanwhile, several patriotic Afrikaner organizations appealed to President Trump to help Afrikaners stay in their ancestral home.
On Tuesday, President Donald Trump announced he was increasing the refugee cap for white South Africans because of “an unforeseen emergency refugee situation”, signing an executive order to “increase the ceiling to 17,500.” Trump blamed the South African government for “recent increases in the incitement of racially motivated violence”.

The South African Government deeply concerned over dwindling tax base as hundreds of thousands of thousands of Afrikaners (and other whites) leave, or have already left the country.
The biggest concern is over-reliance on the small white taxpayer base:
If too many more top earners emigrate, the tax base will shrink to critical level from which there is little chance of recovery.
One of our Afrikaner contributors said, "On the one hand they hate us and want us dead and gone, while on the other hand they want our taxes. They will soon learn that they can't have both!"

They’re concerned about the tax base?
They should have been concerned long before it got to this point.

“We know, that in the US, the MAGA movement is very clear to attack black people. We know what they stand for. They stand against the human rights."
In November 2025, in a CNN interview, Minister Lamola accused Trump's administration of pushing an "agenda of white supremacy."
Is this what you and your comrades consider "doing everything we can to fix the diplomatic crisis with the USA," President Ramaphosa?

It’s a shame what happened to Rhodesia and South Africa.
Like most people steeped in western thought I believed that there must be some explanation why that aboriginal Africans can’t run a modern state successfully, until I saw this interview.
After this I realized that for some things in life there is no why, and you just have to accept that that is the way it is.
