Somewhat Random; Would You Consider Supporting Marco Rubio if He Ran for POTUS in 2028?

Up until the past couple of months, my answer would have been NO. Among other things, I considered him to be at least somewhat aligned with the neocon wing of the Republican Party while he was a United States Senator.
But, I have to say that this guy has basically been pitching a perfect game in his new role as Secretary of State. He seems as 'America First' as anybody right now. Obviously intelligent, and handles himself the way you would expect for a potential President.
If Rubio keeps up this level of performance, I would definitely consider him if he were to run in 2028. I would have J.D. ahead of him right now, but I was just watching Rubio hold a joint press conference with the President of Guyana and you simply can't watch him without thinking, "That guy comes across as being very Presidential."
One thing's for sure, he's come a long way from the "water incident."

Depends on who his opponents are.
Presuming JD, no.
Presuming JD, no.

In a vacuum? Sure.
In a world in which J.D. Vance is also running? Nossir.
ETA: without investing too much thought at the moment, I could get behind a Vance/Rubio ticket.

Easily
2028 is a long way off a lot can change by then. It's too early to hand the nomination to JD

No.
Rubio is MAGA because it’s politically expedient right now.
His entire resume in the senate after running as a tea party guy tells you who he is once he’s in power.

That's why I still say NO. Rubio has come along but he still has a lot to prove before I'd vote for him. DeSantis is still out there though he's been shooting himself in the dick somewhat often. And JDV is almost a lock for the nomination.

My issue with Rubio is that he's been so hyper focused on getting to where he is (I think SecState was a dream job and his career in politics has been tailored toward gaining the foreign policy chops to achieve it) that I'd want to see him active in all the other issues plaguing modern America first.
That said, I think he'd be fine and I like him. But Vance (arguably) and DeSantis have just been out front a lot more on a wider variety of issues in recent years.

Marco's got a long way to go before I trust him. Dude's still on probation, IMO. I like him at SecState because he's only a moment away from being shown the door if he goes off the reservation. It was much harder to deal with him as a Senator.

I would vote for Pete Hegseth before Marco Rubio

I agree with this. If JD doesn't run, Rubio could be next best option.

Not if Vance is running.
I’ll be open minded, but Vance has a big lead, imo. He is the guy who could dominate the MSM the way Trump has, and that’s something we need badly. I liked George W Bush, but he got dominated so badly by the MSM that it set the stage for Obama, etc.

Lol, dear leader Ron isn’t sniffing the Oval Office

He will likely be JD’s running mate, which may be a great duo.

I'm not sure that MAGA would. He did not host a reality show or have a weekend gig on Fox. But I would suspect other Republicans might.

Like everything else with this administration, Id say give it some time, but looks like Trump and his team are hitting on all cylinders so far.
I can't imagine the opposition they face each day from Rinos and Dems, probably soooooo much more than we see reported and discussed

He would make us Israel's bitch, just like Trump is doing, so, NO. Hard pass.
