The USPS is now halting pension contributions for their employees because they are going belly up. Im sure we will bail out the pensioners. But anyone who has run a small business near an urban area can tell you a big problem.

How about mail of any sort that looks like a check disappears and is altered and cashed by employees in places like Atlanta, Memphis and Chicago. Gift cards never make it. We have pushed all clients to a direct deposit for payments because the mail has become endlessly unreliable. Videos of employees dumping their mail into dumpsters.

It has cost us a lot of money and time dealing with our banks and vendors. Remember….DEI works. Just not for anyone but the lazy, thieving employee. The USPS is trying to hang around long enough for a Democrat to come and bail them out. This is why Illinois and Chicago are going broke.

It seems as if there is a ‘perfect storm’ brewing on all fronts. Economic, Political, Judicial, Cultural, Systemic (fraudulent vote), Scientific/AI, and Informational (corrupt MSM). Like the iceberg and Titanic, they could see it coming from far away but the mass and momentum dynamics would not allow a turn to totally miss collision.

You just know that the smart folk in the halls of power and ‘smoke filled back rooms’ where strategic assessments and policy are determined see the same thing this Board does. So is there a honesty assessed, viable ‘plan’? Or are they just instructing the orchestra to play while gearing up to hand out the ‘lifeboats’ via some pseudo-Authoritarian DEI or ‘Capitalism/Meritocracy’ principle mechanism? The Scriptural “Beast “ and “the number “ required “to buy and sell”? Will it be like toilet paper during Covid, get in line and get your one roll?

Geez! I am probably on record predicting that the next election for the last decade and consequences thereafter will somehow be that ‘perfect storm’ hitting, but it all just keeps getting bigger. and rolling on.

Between Kiffin’s Tigers and a looming election fiasco with Trump’s/MAGA’s heads on the block, I think I’ll just drop the drama and go with the flow, prepare for my next life, hug my friends and witness one of the most spectacular times in human history. What a life!

I hope the heat shields on the moon guys ride holds up.

Thank you Jesus.

No one cares. They would rather set Teslas on fire.

Remember people complaining about Big Ballz and Elon having access to their information? Yeah, that same information that's in the mail.

The USPS is really useless now given today’s tech.

I get those damn loan checks all the time where a loan shark company sends you a check and if you deposit it then you owe that amount in a loan plus interest. I shred them but I fear if someone steals that check and cashes it, what happens then?

I want the USPS fixed not eliminated.

What you describe with the check fraud and theft is another example of us as a nation working around low trust individuals for fear of offending someone rather than having the courage and resolve to fight for the institutions and culture we grew up with.

It can be done it just requires the backbone to not take a knee every time someone hides their bad behavior behind an intersectional protected group designation.

Pisses me off we can't just easily stop having the state giving our info out for all the garbage mail. Also easily stop having companies you do business with selling your data.

Shouldn't be hard to do or not allowed, and only for certain people.

Yes, cancel the mail. If it's not a package, I don't want it.

Cancel it!

Walk away Kramer.

I would think they would need to prove it was you. This is the sort of thing which needs to be amended into 39 U.S. Code § 3009 - Mailing of unordered merchandise. No company should be able to prey on people by sending them a check like that.

I seem to recall that Republicans in Congress enacted a law around 2006 that required the postal service to pre-fund retiree benefits 75 years in advance. That requirement sucked operating funds out of the postal service leading to the massive cutbacks we have seen. Eliminating the requirement that USPS fund retirement benefits for future workers that haven't even been born is probably a good thing. Since their retirement system is pre-funded, they should be fine.

99% of the mail i get is junk.... they could go to once a week delivery and I wouldn't care.

Why I am at it, discontinue the penny (and nickel?) and just round everything up or down.

I would think their unfunded liabilities (pensions, etc.) would make that impossible. No one would take on that debt. They need to take on my ideas. Cut out Saturday deliveries and cut out junk mail or charge first class postage (which will either increases revenue or eliminate junk mail). I get a give blood post card in the mail at least 4 days per week. Online banking and online payment systems and bank drafts have broken the USPS. Renegotiate the contract with Amazon.

Mail should be delivered and picked up once a week, that’s it, that’s all that’s needed

Would make the USPS viable instantly
